Actor Aamir Rafiq is all set to essay the role of a British Diplomat in the upcoming show Swaraj. The show is based on the lives of Indian revolutionaries. During a recent interview with BT, Aamir talked about his character in the show and the reason he chose the script.
He shared, “I am essaying the role of a political agent, Lumsden. He is a smart British Diplomat who has many powers. I got attracted to the fact that the show is based on Indian revolutionaries. The script and the characters of the show are so strong and influential. I am always scouting to play strong characters so I choose to do the show.”
When asked about the reason why he was missing from the small screen for a while, he shared, “Firstly it was Covid that brought chaos and all had to shift to home because of a halt in work. After the work resumed I started off with my web shoots so couldn’t take up a show. So finally when I was available, the right script came across me at the right time. So now I will be back with an amazing character in a new television show.”
