CHAPTER 39: SWEET SURRENDER?

SCENE 1: Riddhima and vansh were heading back to the parking lot…

Riddhima: *mocking* Hello, mister!! how dare you tease a girl..

Vansh: Not funny riddhima, drop it!

Riddhima: Oh my god, i saw you scared for the first time! And it was fun!

Siya: What are you both talking about?

Vansh nods his head negatively towards riddhima, indicating not to tell them..

Riddhima: When we were in the shop…we saw a lady scolding a guy, for entering trial room, which had a girl in it…and when asked he said that the girl inside was his wife…but the girl denied it..

Ishani: Poor him….did that lady take any action against him then?

Riddhima: No, she warned him…

Siya: Thank god, bhai was not in that position, otherwise he would have killed that lady by giving her a heart attack, just by looking at her….

Riddhima controls her laughter…they all head back to the car…

Siya: Bhai, you and babhi go in the car, we actually need to meet a friend, so we will come by cab..

Ishani: Yes bhai, she went through a accident, so we need to meet her…

Vansh: Sure..riddhima let’s go, and you both keep your shopping bags inside the car…no need to carry it everywhere…

They leave and vansh and riddhima also get in the car…

Riddhima: Vansh, can i ask you something?

Vansh: If it’s about that lady again, then no need…

Riddhima: No it’s not about her, it’s about kabir..

Vansh: What about him?

Riddhima: Finally, the whole family is together, why can’t we join them also in our family, all he ever wanted was a father and family since the time he got to know about his identity, and we have  a good chance of giving it to him..

Vansh: Riddhima, i never hated him…i was just too angry on my father, but after we know the truth, it’s not my place to decide this, i guess mom should decide this, because she resented kabir so much! And letting him come to our family, would give him love of a brother, sister and a grandmother, but he can never get the love of a mother , which will be more worse that the current situation, if she agrees i have no problem…

Riddhima: Then..

Vansh: Don’t worry sweetheart, i will talk to mom about this…

Riddhima: Thanks! *she suddenly bends over to him and gives a small peck on his cheek and vansh suddenly realises this and his eyes widen*

Vansh: Hmm, what was that for?

Riddhima: A gesture of thanks for my husband!

Vansh: Looks, like i will be needing a lot thanks from you!! *they both chuckle* 

SCENE 2: Everyone gets ready for the ball room theme…and comes down…riddhima looks stunning in a cream color dress which they bought earlier…vansh also slays the party looking dashing in a tuxedo..

Ishani : So welcome everyone!! To make the upcoming dance fun…we are going to do something really fun, a ball is never fun without the masks…all the couples this is going to be fun for you all! Is everyone ready??

Siya: So in the first round, all the men will be blindfolded and they have to touch all the hands of the women here and pick their lady….disclaimer, remember that your wife’s might be angry if you don’t choose her! Now all men line up!

Riddhima: So what do you think? Will you be able to recognise…

Vansh: Challenging me? Not so good idea Mrs.Raisinghania!

Riddhima: I challenge that you can’t recognise me!

Vansh: So bet?

Riddhima: Fine, if you win i will do whatever you want..

Vansh: Oohhh, then remember the condition because your husband is in no mood for losing tonight!

Ishani: Another disclaimer, if you choose someone who is not your wife, then sadly you will have to dance with the women you thought was your wife, so enter at your own risk..

Everyone takes it sportively and joins in….everyone starts picking and at last only riddhima is left, so to make it confusing for vansh, siya asks 2-3 strangers to act…and vansh starts holding their hands trying to recognise riddhima….

Riddhima’s pov: Vansh will not recognise i guess, everyone was soo good and confident and they chose only their wife’s! let’s see if he also recognises me!

Vansh’s pov: Our relation is not that weak riddhima, that i won’t be able to recognise you! I will!

Finally vansh touches riddhima…

Vansh: Riddhima! This is riddhima…

A small smile crept on riddhima’s face…

Ishani: Bhai? Are you sure? I mean there are more 2 people….and you barely touched the person’s hand you are holding…

Vansh: I know it’s riddhima..

Siya: Fine, then open the blindfolds..

He opens and sees riddhima in front of his eyes…

Siya:  Now since the fun time is over, lets start dancing everyone!

Everyone starts slow dancing…

Riddhima: You recognized?! Not bad!

Vansh: I still remember the bet, if you were wondering!

Riddhima: What do you want?

Vansh: Your time…your love, an eternity with you!

Riddhima: You will always have it!

Vansh: Want to skip the party?

Riddhima: This party is technically for us! And everyone will notice if we were gone…

Vansh: Look around everyone is having fun and who would want to stop having fun and worry about us! Lets go…

They slowly slip out of the party..and they both felt like bunking a class which was important, but bunking it made them happy!

SCENE 3: Vansh and riddhima slip out of the party…

Riddhima: We are out, but where will we go and what do you want do?

Vansh: Lets start over…everything!! So *clears his throat* Hello, i am Vansh raisinghania…

Riddhima: So we are seriously doing this? Ok fine…I am Riddhima….

Vansh: I saw you somewhere…at a  work site where our company was also there….

Riddhima: Ok creepy, so you saw me at a work site and decided to come up to me?

Vansh: Not a creep, but i found you very fascinating, and like a gentleman i am, i would like to take you out on date, only with your permission…

Riddhima: Sure i would love to go on a date with a thorough gentleman like you!

Vansh: Then, please take a seat in the car…

They both sit in the car and vansh starts to drive…

Vansh: I have never been on date…so don’t mind if something goes wrong…

Riddhima: I guess, i won’t mind…

After a while they reach a place which is pretty dark…

Riddhima: Vansh i can’t see anything..

Vansh: Don’t worry, wear these blindfolds and no cheating ok?

Riddhima: But i am already not able to see anything na? *she hears him, groaning* Ok fine!!

After a while vansh opens the blindfolds, and riddhima is stunned to see a dinner set up that too under the stars… where there was also a beach

Riddhima: You were listening?

Vansh: I always pay attention to you riddhima!

FLASHBACK…

They both were talking to each other…riddhima was cuddled up in his arms…and they were playing with their fingers…

Riddhima: Vansh, i have a question for you..

Vansh: Go ahead..

Riddhima: What is your idea of perfect and ideal date?

Vansh: Never been on one, so no idea..what’s yours?

Riddhima: I want a beautiful dinner set up….in a open place…where i can see alot of stars, i love astronomy and i find stars are fascinating to watch you know…and there should be water also, so that the reflection of stars falls on them…it would be such a good one na? Are you even listening? *she turns towards him and finds him sleeping, slowly she slips into sleep*

Vansh’s pov: I will make your dream come true riddhima!

PRESENT..

Riddhima: Not bad Mr.Vansh, for a first date..you went all big huh? I am impressed…

Vansh: *pulls out a chair* Please take a seat.. *she sits and he also takes his seat, when a waiter comes in and puts their food* 

Vansh: Riddhima close your eyes i have a small gift for you!

Riddhima: Was this *shows their surroundings* not a gift?

Vansh: Why are you always soo stubborn!! Just close your damn eyes!

Riddhima: If you forgot i am your first date and already you are behaving with me like this, Mr. Vansh i wonder if our relationship will go any further if you behave like this!

Vansh: Acha baba, sorry! Please close your eyes….

Riddhima: Fine..

Vansh: Now open your eyes.. *riddhima opens her eyes* Remember you gave 3 gifts on my birthday?

Riddhima: But i never actually gave it to you right?

Vansh: I found them on table after you slept…so i never keep debt my lady! Not even in love…so here you go my 3 gifts..

Riddhima: I am excited, since it will be your first gift to me..

Vansh: Hello first gift? I gave the VR ring remember?

Riddhima: Are you planning on giving the gifts today or what?

Vansh: Oh yeah.. *he takes out post it notes*

Riddhima: Post it notes? Nice i guess..

Vansh: Wait! Remember our wedding vows? 7 vows we made to each other, i will be honest, i was not vowing the same things in my mind..

Riddhima: I vowed i will send you to jail, so hey! You were not the only one, but still not getting any idea about the post it notes?

Vansh: We are going to vow again..with full love and honesty..so..*he takes out a pen* what do we want to promise each other?

Riddhima: Love even when we hate each other

Vansh: No running away ever! Trust each other

Riddhima: take care of each other even when old senile and smelly

Vansh: AND ITS FOREVER!

They both sign on the post it note…

Riddhima: Nice gift!

Vansh: Still a long night sweetheart…second gift is this necklace…it has i love you written in 100 languages..

Riddhima: Vansh this is absolutely lovely! Oh god, you are soo romantic, wondered why i have never seen soo many shades in you..now will you do the honors by..

Vansh: Oh yeah sure..*he moves her hair to the side and slowly slides the chain into her neck*

Riddhima: It’s soo beautiful, you have increased my hopes for the 3^rd one now!

Vansh: Well for the 3^rd one…you must um..come with me…

They sit in the car and drive to a place..

SCENE 4: Riddhima gets down the car..

Riddhima: Isn’t the site where we first met? We came here for tender work?

Vansh: Wow, i thought you forgot…anyway close your eyes for a minute…

After few minutes..

Riddhima: Vansh? You done? More how much longer?

Vansh: Open!

Riddhima opens her eyes and finds the sooo many candles around her arranged in layout..

Riddhima: Oh my god? What is this? It looks like a layout of a construction but in candles?

Vansh: Our farm house or house…i didn’t decide yet, but yeah i am going to build my dream house here for you, with you..

Riddhima: Isn’t this government’s place?

Vansh: Well i had to pull a few strings, since this was the very place that i first saw you, first liked you..i was selfish that no one else should have it! Well? How is it?

Riddhima: *goes and hugs him tightly, where she was able to hear his heart beats also*

Vansh: Anyway would you like to continue the dinner?

Riddhima: But we have to go back right?

Vansh: Not necessary i arranged here also!

They both sit down..

Vansh: Riddhima, can i ask you something?

Riddhima: Ask..

Vansh: Why do you think i married you?

Riddhima: Because, its like a thrill of a chase for you…it irked you someone doesn’t like you, so it was just a chase maybe..?

Vansh: You and me. It is not the thrill of the chase. It’s not a game. It’s… it’s your tiny, ineffectual fists. And your hair… It smells nice. And you’re very, very bossy. It keeps me in line.I’m not gonna get down on one knee, I’m not gonna ask a question, because we are wayyy past that stage and now the only thing i can say is I love you Riddhima, and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.

Riddhima: *she gets up and walks towards him,sits on his lap and hugs him* 

Vansh: Don’t ever say my love was a thrill of a chase…Don’t you see? Don’t you understand? You’re the love of my life. I can’t leave you.

Riddhima: *making her hug tighter* I love you!!! I will never regret us! I will never regret meeting you…i will never regret falling in love with you! I will never regret *she kisses him on the lips* This!

Vansh: *he chuckles* Don’t get me wrong: I like the kissing. I’m all for the kissing. More kissing, I say.

Riddhima: I guess we owe a dance to each other, as we skipped one, earlier, want to continue?

Vansh: I would love that…

They start slow dancing this time to the song US by James bay

Riddhima: How did you recognise me soo easily in the party?

Vansh: The idea was pretty dumb, but i guessed by your ring! The VR ring…

Riddhima: You cheated? *she hits him* 

Vansh: Ouuchh! What was that for?

Riddhima: For cheating.. *he pulls her closer*

Vansh: Sweetheart, it’s not cheating, its called intelligence..

Riddhima: I guess..*before she could finish…vansh kisses her*what was that for?

Vansh: Just adoring my first date…i think so i am in love riddhima…for the first time, i feel complete soulfully, amid the chaotic life, you are my peace…

Riddhima: I want you…right now…

Vansh: Are you sure?

Riddhima: I have never been this sure in my life about anything else…

 It was like they were craving and longing for this peace…which they found in each other…

SCENE 5: They are in their room…next morning…riddhima opens her eyes..re-living those moments from the night…

Vansh: Someone is blushing?!

Riddhima: Vansh!

Vansh: Did you enjoy the date yesterday?

Riddhima: It was like a dream come true vansh! I loved every part of it…from the beginning till end..it was like a fairy tale, just like i expected!

Ok so here you go with another update, actually next chapter is supposed to be the last chapter, with riddhima’s pregnancy track, but i was wondering do you guys want their honeymoon chapter? I can add on? If yes, then choose between MALDIVES OR BALI? Next chapter tomorrow or today maybe, i can’t be sure, but yeah the target this time is 35+ comments again! This chapter felt like a long one to edit and adding elements! Hope you guys love the chapter!
