CHAPTER 29: CHASING THE ULTIMATE TRUTH!?

SCENE 1: Vansh is asking riddhima to explain…

Vansh: EXPLAIN!!

Riddhima: Will you please stop shouting at me? Come forward and see, this is not your diary! I didn’t even know that you wrote a diary!

Vansh: *who was standing behind her, came forward and took the book from her hand* 

Riddhima: Enough? Happy? That was not what you were expecting right?

FLASHBACK..

When riddhima was reading…

Vansh: Riddhima?

Riddhima’s pov: *without turning behind* Oh god no! Vansh is here..if he sees this book in my hand,he will not spare me..*then she remembers seeing same kind of book on the table and picks it up by slowly slipping his diary into the drawer* 

PRESENT..

Vansh: riddh..

Riddhima: No, vansh! I am sorry, that you still don’t trust me..

Vansh: Trust you? Where has that ever gotten me riddhima? I trust people and they at the end just betray me, i am scared to be betrayed again that too in lo..i mean that too…

Riddhima: That too?

Vansh: That too from you, as you are my wife, my heart won’t be able to spare another betrayal riddhima!

Riddhima: *she understands his pain and goes near him* Vansh i will never betray you..

Riddhima’s pov: I don’t know why but my heart wants to trust you and my mind is contradicting with fact that you can kill anyone…God, please don’t break my trust on him…

Vansh: *hugs her* Thanks..

Riddhima: *hugs him back and they share a eyelock*

Dadi: *coughs* Sorry..

They both jerk away from each other..

Dadi: Sorry, but vansh can i borrow your wife for a minute, or shall i come in later?

Riddhima: Dadi, why are you asking him? I will come with you, let’s go…

Vansh: Yes dadi, why ask me? Take her, i need to go to the orphanage..

Dadi: You still didn’t go? Go fast, otherwise the children will sleep off…

Vansh: Yeah..

Riddhima: Dadi? You had some work with me?

Dadi leaves..

Riddhima: Tomorrow is his b’day, what should i do? I know literally nothing about his favourites… *riddhima gets a call*  Vansh? Why is he calling? he just left now only……Hello? Vansh?

Vansh: Riddhima, i forgot my wallet in the room can you get it outside please..

Riddhima: Ok, give me a minute i will be there..

She comes outside…

Riddhima: Here take it..

Vansh: Um..dadi’s work is done?

Riddhima: yes..but i was about to go outside for some work

Vansh: Then why don’t you join me? *he tried his best not to sound desperate* 

Riddhima: But..

Vansh: I guess you don’t like coming..

Riddhima: Fine, i will come..*she opens the back seat door* 

Vansh: Hello? If anyone sees they will think of me as your driver, so come and sit in the front..

Riddhima: Vansh, i was just keeping my bag, here…

Vansh: Oh..

She sits..

Vansh: Anyway, where did you want to go?

Riddhima: Um..to meet my friend’s mother, i told you right she was in a accident..

Vansh: Ohk then i willl drop you off at the hospital..which hospital?

Riddhima: Ap…..city hospital!

Vansh: Ap? City hospital…i think there is no such hospital *he says sarcastically* 

Riddhima: I forgot for a second, city hospital! City hospital…

Riddhima’s pov: Oh god! Just miss, if he knew it was apollo then he would start doubting again and shift rishabh from there…and i wouldn’t have known also..

Vansh: There you go, city hospital, i will pick you up, don’t call any cab..

Riddhima: Ok..

Vansh leaves, riddhima gets in auto..

Riddhima: bhaiya, please go to Geeta gift emporium..

auto driver: Sure mam…

SCENE 2: After riddhima secretly goes and orders gifts, she comes back to the hospital from where vansh picks her up, NEXT DAY…

Riddhima: Vansh?

Vansh: *yawns* Good morning!

Riddhima: Vansh wake up! You are getting late! Rudra said you have a few meetings to attend, go and freshen up..

Vansh: Riddhima, you know what today is?

Riddhima: yes, wednesday i guess, now leave, i have to clean up the room also, the whole room is filled with your clothes…

Vansh goes to freshen up and comes back to find the room neat and tidy, and he goes downstairs…

Dadi: Vansh, happy b’day..

Vansh: Thanks dadi *he looks around for riddhima* 

Rudra and others also wish him one by one and continue doing their work..

Dadi: Why is your face so dull?

Vansh’s pov: Everyone wished, except the person i wanted to hear wishes from..

Vansh: Nothing dadi, i am perfectly alright, maybe lack of sleep..anyway have you seen riddhima?

Dadi: She was in kitchen, making something maybe it’s for you..

He goes to the kitchen…

Riddhima: Thank god, you are here, i was about to come to you with this sweet..

Vansh: Sweet? Anything special?

Riddhima: No! Actually auntie, likes sweets, she has a sweet tooth, so i thought why not go and give her…so taste and tell me na, how is this?

Vansh: *eats* Hmm, it’s good, and nothing special today?

Riddhima: No….why are you asking again and again? If there is anything tell me…

Vansh’s pov: It would sound desperate if i tell her that today is my b’day! And i don’t want that! Afterall she is vansh raisinghania’s wife she will eventually find it out!

Riddhima: *waves her hand in front of him breaking him away from his thoughts* Oh hello? Where are you lost? Is there anything special today?

Vansh: Um..no! I felt like something was special, turns out there is nothing like that 

Riddhima: Anyway, you still didn’t leave?? You will now go and if you become late you will call me and scold me for stupid and silly reasons..like a typical husband…

Vansh: You know right i would never do that! And when you are not a typical wife, why will i be a typical husband…we are very different wife and husband right..

Riddhima: *sarcastically* Haha, very funny, i am not even able to stop my laugh!! If you are done then leave…

Vansh leaves..

Riddhima’s pov: For the surprise i am going to give you, you need be patient Mr.Raisinghania! I am sure you will not be disappointed…

SCENE 3: In the office..

Vansh: Rudra, any improvement? Can we shift him back to the place?

Rudra: Yes sir, you don’t need to worry rishabh is already shifted back in the same place…

Vansh: Good…and that girl nithya, did you find out anything about her? 

Rudra: No sir…she is missing for a long time…

Vansh: I told you 1 work! To find rishabh’s friends and family, you told me he was an orphan and then? Nothing!! Was it all pre planned or what? That you can’t even get anything on him? Not his work place, friends, nothing! We only know abhi and rishabh are connected, and nothing else!

Rudra: I am trying my level best sir, in fact they have been searching, but it all seems to go in vain!

Vansh: If you don’t get me the details soon, i will leave this work and personally look into this matter, and by personally i mean, i will fly down to banglore and find them myself!

Rudra: No, sir i will try harder..
