CHAPTER 22: BLOODLINES?!

SCENE 1: Vansh & riddhima are sitting next to each other…

Vansh: I have a question for you…

Riddhima: You know, you are like a question bank! Mind filled with questions and doubts!

Vansh: You know we are not different, i ask the questions directly, but you go behind my back, and try to know the answers by yourself…just our methods are different!

Riddhima: What?! Anyway, ask the question…

Vansh: Are you sure that your biggest regret, is about the teacher you told?

Riddhima: Yes!

Vansh: But from my point of view, you should have two biggest regrets!

Riddhima: Wow! Now you will tell me my “life’s” Biggest regret! Well go ahead…

Vansh: 1st your marriage with me! And the second one….

Riddhima: And?

Vansh: Not telling your parents about your marriage!

Riddhima: *her mind hits with realisation* Oh god!! I didn’t tell them…..they might think, i don’t care about their permission or opinion! Oh god!

Vansh: Don’t worry, they are coming tomorrow, to mumbai, you can talk to them….

Riddhima: No, no, they will be angry!

Riddhima’s pov: How could i be soo consumed in this plan that i forgot that i even have parents!

Vansh: Riddhima, relax!

Riddhima: Relax?? Are you serious? They will be disappointed…and *vansh places his finger on her lips* 

Vansh: Shhh…….They will understand the situation, don’t worry i take the responsibility to make them understand, and i will marry you again, in front of them if necessary, you just relax and leave it! Understand? *riddhima nods her head* 

Riddhima: But…

Vansh: Riddhima, i know you don’t trust me, but just leave this matter to me, now go to sleep, your eyes look tired….

They finally both go to sleep

SCENE 2: Dadi is talking with anupriya….

Dadi: They didn’t even call, and it’s soo late! Why is it taking soo much time?

Anupriya: Ma, don’t worry, Vansh is there right? He is not a child, he can take care of riddhima and himself! You know him right….

Dadi: I know, but my heart is becoming restless, as if something bad is going to happen and we are unaware of it….

Anupriya: Ma, nothing will happen, and Vansh told me in the morning that tomorrow riddhima’s parents will be coming to our home….

Dadi: Riddhima’s parents? In the marriage tension we forgot to tell them about their own daughter’s marriage, they must be infuriated!

Anupriya: That’s why vansh told us to speak to them and he told that he will also come to speak to them! So don’t worry wherever they are, they will be back by tomorrow…

Dadi: I hope they come as fast as they can…Rudra? Did you find out anything??

Rudra: Dadi, the roads on the way back from the temple are kind of flooded, so according to me sir must have decided to stay back, until the the roads are cleared…

Dadi: Yes, i hope they both are safe….

SCENE 3: Riddhima and vansh are sleeping, when Riddhima suddenly hears a thunder and wakes up…

Riddhima: Looks like this rain is not going to stop….what will i tell my parents? How will i face them?

She goes near the window…and closes her eyes…

SCENE 3: Vansh wakes up in the morning…

Vansh: It’s still raining…*looks around* Where is riddhima? Ah there she is near the window….the rain is not that heavy, we can leave i guess……Riddhima?!

Riddhima: *wakes up* Good morning…

Vansh: We have to leave…

Riddhima: But it’s still raining?

Vansh: I know riddhima, but it’s not that heavy, if we don’t leave now, you will be late to meet your parents!

Riddhima: Oh you are right, lets go…

They both sit in the car and riddhima’s phone starts ringing continuously….

Vansh; Who is calling?

Riddhima: I don’t know, i guess it must be dadi….

Vansh: If it’s her tell her we are on her way…

Riddhima’s pov: Why is kabir calling at this time? Is he alright? I can’t pick up the call now!

Riddhima: It’s actually company number, nothing important!

Vansh: They have no work or what, started calling with all there advertisements early morning! Riddhima, my phone charger is in the back seat, can you give it to me…

Riddhima: Yeah sure… *she turns around and the phone rings again…but this time vansh manages to see the name of the caller* Vansh, here take it..

Vansh: Hmm..

The phone again rings!

Riddhima’s pov: Why is kabir calling again and again? Last time he called me a gold digger and now he is continuously calling me, what is such urgency?

Vansh: SHUT THE DAMN PHONE!!!!

Riddhima: Ok! Stop shouting!

Vansh: Who is calling now? I mean obviously, the company people will not call again and again right!

Riddhima: Um, Nisha! She is a friend from office, i mean the hyderabad office…

Vansh: Oh is it? *he suddenly steps on the brake* 

Riddhima: Vansh! Why did you stop suddenly? Is there something ahead *She looks out and vansh looks at her and his eyes filled with rage* Vansh?

He gets down…

Riddhima’s pov: What happened to him suddenly? *she also gets down* 

Riddhima: Vansh? Are you alright? Vansh, it’s raining! You have sinus problem….you will have problem comes inside the car!

Vansh: *turns around* How does it matter? Huh? Why does it matter to you? You don’t give a damn, if i die or live right?

Riddhima: Vansh, why are you talking like this out of the blue??

Vansh: *holds her arms tightly* I hate lies riddhima! I hate it when someone lies to me! And since we met you have been just lying to me! And now i can’t take it anymore, your lies and….

Riddhima: Lies?

Vansh: You secretly talk to that looser kabir! If you want to meet him, go meet him, but don’t  you dare lie to me!Why riddhima? Why do you lie every single damnn time! *his grip tightens* 

Riddhima: Because i am scared…

Vansh: Scared?

Riddhima: YES!! Scared that you will kill him, if you knew that i met him…

Vansh: *he leaves her arms* KILL?

Riddhima: Yes you have killed many people, and now i am scared to lose another person! You show no mercy right? Since you feel they are just coming in your way, you kill them! I didn’t wanted to lose kabir also!

Vansh: You thought i will kill kabir? I could never do that riddhima!

Riddhima: Oh really? Can you promise me that? Can you promise me that you will never harm him?

Vansh:*his eyes soften and he looks at her with sadness* Promise?? I can never kill him because he is my brother! We share the same blood! Yes i hate him! But kill? I can never do that in even in my wildest dreams!

Riddhima: Brother?
