CHAPTER 18: RIDDHIMA HAS A CHANGE OF HEART??

SCENE 1: Everyone is getting ready in the family for the marriage…..

Riddhima: *calls kabir* Kabir?

Kabir: Riddhima, i am almost done! Just give me 15 min, i am taking her down, be on a lookout near the door

Riddhima: Fine…

Dadi: Riddhima, let me go in to check if she needs anything..

Riddhima: *hold her hand* Dadi! I will take care of it! Actually she is dressing up, makeup and everything is done…just final few touch ups and she will be the mosttt beautiful bride ever!

Dadi: Ok! Tell her to hurry up!

Riddhima: Fine dadi! 

Dadi leaves…

Riddhima: *messaging kabir* Are you done? Soon she will be called downstairs!

Kabir: *reply* I am done! I have even kept the letter! She is out of the room also…and she is safe! Trust me, everything is alright, now you take care..

SCENE 2: Dadi sees Riddhima in the hall…

Dadi: Riddhima, is shreya ready?

Riddhima: Yes dadi, she said she wanted to take a nap! Since she was feeling tired and also she has to sit continuously, so..

Dadi: Ok, ok, anyway there is a lot of time left, for the ceremony to begin, so nothing to worry…Beta if you don’t mind go and call Vansh, please..

Riddhima: Sure dadi…

She goes to call Vansh…

Riddhima: *knocks* Mr. Vansh, dadi is calling you downstairs…

Vansh: Riddhima, can you come in…

Riddhima: No actually, i have some…

Suddenly Vansh pulls her in…

Riddhima: Excuse me??

Vansh: I am sorry, but can you help me with this brooch…

Riddhima: *looks at the brooch* Sure…

Vansh’s pov: What are you Riddhima? Sometimes, i feel like you are very hard person to read and the next minute you act like an open book which is easy to read!

Riddhima’s pov: Vansh, you are getting ready in vain! When there is no bride itself, what will the groom do alone?!

Riddhima: I am done, i will leave….

Vansh: Thanks!

Both of them come down and vansh takes his seat in the mandap…

Riddhima’s pov: Now soon, there will be an explosion of truth, that the bride has run away! Too bad Vansh!

Dadi: Riddhima, go and get Shreya…

Ishani: No need dadi, i will get her..

She goes and comes after a while with a paper in her hand…

Dadi: ishani? Where is Shreya? Is she coming? ishani, speak something!!

Ishani: I don’t know where she is Dadi! I didn’t find her in the room, *hands over the letter* But, I found this in her room, i didn’t read it…

Dadi: What is this? *takes the letter*

I do not stand here on my wedding day optimistic or full of hope. I am not optimistic. I am not going away because i don’t love you! I am going away because, i don’t see our relationship, getting any better in the future! I still remember, what you said, a few days back, you said ” I think i am willing to marry you, I think, its the best” I felt soo happy, but during the ceremonies, i realised you never wanted any of this! And i Really wished, that instead of “thinking” that you want to marry me, i wish you “knew”!! I will always love you, that’s why i am leaving for your happiness! BYE

Dadi: Vansh….*she falls and sits on the couch looking devastated* 

Vansh: Dadi!! Are you alright, call a doctor immediately…Dadi, are you fine?

Dadi: Are you fine?

Riddhima’s pov: I am sorry dadi, i can just imagine the pain you are going through! But i can’t let an innocent girl marry a person like Vansh! I can’t knowingly put someone’s life in danger, just like that!

Vansh: Dadi, i am perfectly alright! Trust me!

Later that day…vansh is in his room, when someone knocks..

Vansh: Come in..

Dadi: Vansh, can i talk to you?

Vansh: Yes sure dadi, and is it is about what happened earlier, don’t worry dadi, i am alright and i believe that shreya has taken a correct decision! I support her…

Dadi: I want you to get married Vansh!

Vansh: Dadi! No one is there right? Then how? And i want to shift my focus…

Dadi: With Riddhima!

Vansh: What? Riddhima?! She will never marry me dadi, even if i am the last man standing on the this earth, she wouldn’t even look at me!

Dadi: She has agreed to marry you vansh, she is ok with it…

Vansh: What?? Dadi, i need to talk to her once..

SCENE 3: Vansh meets riddhima…

Vansh: Did i hear it correctly? You want to marry me? But why?

Riddhima: Yes, you heard it right….and i said yes because…

Riddhima: Dadi, i was about to leave with the luggage after changing my dress, did you need any help?

Dadi: You always told me how much you loved this family right?  Will you become a part of this family? So that the respect of this household will still be intact?

Riddhima: *stammering* Yes dadi, i would like to be a part of this family…

Vansh: Nahh! Come on sweetheart, though we know each other only for a short period of time, i am sure, that i know you would never accept anything so easily? Then why now? What are your reasons?

Riddhima: Reasons? I assure you that you will be the first one to know, if there were any reasons!
