A Quest For the Heart – Episode 3 (Friends?)

Epi starts..

In VR cooperations..

Vansh was sitting in his cabin doing some work when Riddhima knocked at the door. She was standing there with her arms crossed and her dress covered her beautifully. Vansh realised again he was starring and broke eye contact.

Riddhima: Can I come in?

Vansh: Yes, what is it?

Riddhima: First of all, you haven’t even explained how things work around her. You just gave me the job expecting me to follow you the whole day.

Vansh: Sweetheart, that is the job. Following me around. You are my personal assistant remember (he winks)

Riddhima rolls her eyes: Fine Mr Rai Singhania, what do I have to do?

Vansh was trying to tease her and trying to get her to come and stand a little closer to him.

Vansh: Here (he hands her some files). Go through these and let me know if you see anything odd. You are welcome to work in here.

Riddhima took the files and noticed a sofa at the other end of the office. She walked towards it and sat down and started looking through the files.

Vansh couldn’t stop staring, he was getting distracted and he couldn’t think properly

Vansh(thinking): What is wrong with me? Why is it when Riddhima comes near me I feel the urge to go closer. I need to stop before I lose myself.

He gets up from his desk and walks out. Riddhima was shocked and shouted for him after he went through the door.

Riddhima: Vansh!! Wait!

Vansh heard her but he didn’t stop. He needed to get out of the office and go back home. He didn’t realise she was following him from behind.

Riddhima: Vansh! Don’t you dare walk away. What is wrong with you? Who even leaves like that halfway?

Vansh facing his back towards her: Go back to work sweetheart. You can go home after you finish and I will see you around.

Riddhima tries to go after him, they were in the middle of the road when a truck comes near the side of Riddhima. Vansh turned and noticed she was walking towards back towards the office but didn’t notice the truck. He shouted

Vansh: Riddhimaaaaa!..

Riddhima turned and panicked as she saw the truck inching closer to her. She closed her eyes and couldn’t move. Suddenly she felt a hand pulling her to the side and all went dark.

Vansh’s POV in flashback..

I saw her standing there with her eyes closed. The truck was inches away, I ran as fast as I could shouting her name but she couldn’t hear. She panicked and couldn’t move. I had to save her; it was a fire within me that I couldn’t stop. Even if I did not want to see her I couldn’t see her getting hurt. What is this feeling? Now I had to face her again but a relief came over me that she was safe.

Back to present..

Riddhima stood there still panicked when she realised the man who just saved her life was Vansh. She opened her eyes and looked at him without saying a word.

Vansh: Are you alright?

Riddhima: …

Vansh: Sweetheart..are you alright?

Riddhima doesn’t say anything but just nods.

Vansh: I will walk back with you.

Riddhima and Vansh started walking back towards VR mansion. Vansh was looking at Riddhima thinking what had happened and why she could not say a word. He broke the silence

Vansh: Look, about earlier, I know it was rude to walk out like that. I needed space to think.

Riddhima: It’s ok. Thank..thank you for saving my life.

Vansh: Anyone would have done the same. Let’s go sweetheart.

Riddhima nods again and walks the rest of the way in silence with Vansh by her side towards the house. Once they reached the house, she quickly went in and straight to her room. Vansh heard a lock click.

Vansh talking to himself: Why do I even bother? (rolls his eyes)

He goes in and Siya comes up to him.

Siya: Bhai, I saw someone going upstairs when she was with you. Who’s that?

Vansh: Nobody Siya, it’s part of business. Her name is Riddhima.

Siya pulls an angry face: I hope you are not thinking of doing the same thing to her as you did with Ragini.

Vansh: Shhhh Siya! Keep it down. That topic is closed. It stays between us, got it. And don’t say it in the open like this. I know what I’m doing trust me. The business doesn’t involve her, it’s her brother I need to get the job done.

Siya: Dont you think you should at least tell her why she is staying here? She has never questioned you once

Vansh: Not now, I have had it with her stubbornness. It’s hard enough to deal with it in the office let alone here.

Siya: She is your personal assistant na? (She giggles a little)

Vansh: Haha! Very funny.

Siya: I will go and check on her

Vansh: Dont push the wrong button, she’s a fireball when you question her

Siya: I think I can handle it.

Siya walks up and knocks on Riddhimas room. She doesnt open the door but says in a little voice.

Riddhima: Leave me alone..

Siya: Hii it’s me Siya, I am Vansh’s other sister. Do you want to talk?

Riddhima opens the door gently and let’s her in. Siya sits on the bed.

Siya: So what’s happened? Why did you lock yourself here?

Riddhima: I am sorry I know I’m being very rude. I’m Riddhima

Siya: I know who you are

Riddhima: Wow, does everyone in this house knows me?

Siya: Pretty much yes, there’s Ishani who you have met, me, Angre (Ishani’s husband and right hand of Vansh), Kabir and I would stay clear of Aryan.

Riddhima: Oh thank you.

Siya: No problem. I think you need a friend. You can talk to me anytime.

Riddhima: Thank you Siya, that’s very sweet of you.

She manages to smile a little.

Precap: Vansh and Riddhima gets locked in a room together and after arguing spends the night there. Riddhima meets the rest of the family and Vansh gets closer to the deal.
