The bet a samnia ff – prologue

Was she just a bet for him? Nothing else. Was all this just a game for him. She was such a fool to believe that sameer would love her. Swathi was correct all the while. Sameer would never love someone like her.
Naina was pondering on the thoughts.
” Naina what happened? Why are your eyes moist. Something is wrong Naina ” asked a concerned Swathi.
” nothing something has just gone into my eyes. ” lied Naina.
Swathi smiled and continued listening to the class. Sameer looked at Naina who was lost. She was not listening to the class. He tapped the pen two times on the desk but Naina ignored and tried to listen to the class.

Sameer desperately tapped the pen again on the desk. Naina finally turned towards him. He flashed a smile to her. She faked a smile and turned towards the teacher to listen.
” sameer I should salute you for tolerating that beheneji Naina. God the way you fake smiles for her. ” said munna.
Naina’s eyes turned moist hearing it.

” I don’t know when this bet will get finished. When  will I get rid of her. From the birthday party to Romeo and Juliet I have tolerated her a lot ” lied sameer to his friends.
Tears welled up in her eyes hearing it.
” sameer I don’t think in this life time that Naina will hug and tell you I love you in front of everybody. Ur hair is bound to get cut. ” joked munna.
” she will tell. Naina agrawal will confess her love and hug me in front of everyone ” said sameer in determination.
Pandit was the only one who was feeling guilty.

Sameer and his friends started speaking all the struggles they had to face because of Naina. Sameer was openly insulting her as behen ji in front of his friends.
As she heard each word sameer said naina’s heart broke. She had walked up to the canteen at this time knowing that only sameer would be there to confess her love. She had lied to her teacher and came here.   She walked away without anyone’s notice wiping her tears and composing herself with a broken heart.

The class finished. Naina packed her bag and rushed out of the class not wanting to face sameer. The only thing she wanted to do now is to reach home and share her heart to shefali, her only friend who knows about sameer and her.
Sameer rushed out of the class following Naina to talk with her. She was lost in the class and her sadness was visible in her eyes. Was something wrong?  He would surely help her like he helped her with her sister’s marriage. Anything to make her smile. He has lately started to care for her but is not ready to accept it because of his ego.

He saw Naina going with her brother and sister. He turned back disappointed. He wanted to speak to her and make sure everything is right. But in front of her family it was not possible. He decided to go home and phone her.
