Phase 1- Relay OS Competition

Well… hey guys… I have been having a worse week.. hope you guys have been doing well… ?

Due to worse network issues and an exam today… I could not start the competition on the date as planned,.. sorry for that.. ?

But… then I decided… why not inform you guys about the group themes?????? Well at this point.. the themes are exciting me soo much… I do not know how your reactions might be… *happiness beyond bound*

And yes….. ///MOST IMPORTANTLY///

ONCE YOU GET TO KNOW WHICH GROUP YOU SHOULD BE WRITING FOR… IT SHOULD BE KEPT AS A TOP SECRET WITHIN YOURSELF… DO NOT FORGET THIS POINT… ALSO I WILL BE MENTIONING YOU WHICH NUMBER YOU WILL BE WRITING… LIKE IF YOU ARE THE FIRST OR SECOND OR THIRD OR LAST…

THERE ARE 6 GROUPS.. WITH 6 IN EACH… SO THAT MEANS YOUR COMPLETE GROUP OS WILL BE HAVING AROUND 6 x 400 = 2400 WORDS..

of this 6 groups, 4 will be selected for phase 2… the groups that will not be selected, from there 2 special participants will be selected…. that is that participant who gave their best into the story… and these 2 special participants will be directly going to phase 3…. (as reward for their sincerity, passion and dedication..)

Now group details..

GROUP 1:

PARTICIPANTS OF GROUP 1 WILL BE WRITING ON THE FOLLOWING THEME….

THEME: AND IT WAS ALL ABOUT YOU!!!
Shivani is a simple and sweet person who falls in love with Rohit, a T.V. star, whom she never saw in real life. Write a romantic dream sequence between Shivani and Rohit exploring the love of a fan in every possible ways.

Group 1 participants will have to make sure that the story revolves around these 2 characters, make it as beautiful as possible… ?

Tip: Imagine you and the person you are a huge fan of…

GROUP 2: Obsession

Aahil is an unsuccessful student, who loves Ahana crazily. His derailed track of studies cause him to fall behind Ahana by a year.(despite being her senior..). Rithik is a successful entrepreneur whom Ahana wishes to marry. But she is in fear of Aahil, as he being obsessed with her, has decided to have her at any cost. How would Ahana relieve herself from her fear? Or will she bow down to her fear? What should she do to free her from this kind of toxicity? Will it be Aahil Ahana or Ahana Rithik?

Tip: Writers must explore the different shades of obsession in here…

GROUP 3: Family over Love or Love over Family?

Suman and Sumit are deeply in love with each other. They are the “made for each other” couple or the most loved couple in their college. Suman hails from a higher class family compared to Sumit, there by resulting in her parents being upset about her relation. Then comes, Sunil, a successful cardiologist, parents’ only son. Sumans’ parents wants Suman to marry Sunil and settle down in life, rather than struggle with Sumit. What should Suman do? Whom should she choose?

Tip: she can either be a dutiful, obedient daughter or a loving, supportive partner…. writers should also include Sumans’ thoughts regarding the pros and cons of both guys, before giving her final selection. Just remember, She can’t be both dutiful daughter and a loving partner at the same time.
(Tough job for tailenders… I suppose..)

GROUP 4: Friend or Love????

Nupur and Payal are best friends studying in he same college as Mayank, a senior, football team captain and their neighbour. Payal loves Mayank very dearly of which Nupur is well aware of. Mayank takes interest in Nupur, which breaks Payals’ heart, though Payal does not show it off as she knows Mayank would be the best person for Nupur. Nupur knows what Payal might be feeling. Secretly, though she wants Mayank, she is in a dilemma, should she choose Mayank or ditch him for the happiness and easiness of Payal???

Tip: writers should focus on the beauty of friendship at the sane time explore a magical fairytale story… remember Nupur can choose either of them and not both..

GROUP 5: Is it easy to accept someone ‘new’…after having a beloved someone before?

Kshitij and Kalpana are divorced couples, who were once deeply in love. Kalpana has moved on in life and is extremely successful, while Kshitij could not yet overcome the loss of Kalpana in his life. Then comes, Keira, a sweet, bubbly, smart and intelligent girl who falls in love with Kshitij in the very first sight. Write a lovely story emphasizing on Keira’s struggle to win over Kshitij while Kshitij is submerged in thoughts of Kalpana.

Tip: it is not necessary to portray a pure love story or that Kshitij has accepted her. Just focus on STRUGGLE.

GROUP 6: Will she get her ‘Prince Charming’?

Mahira is a sweet, kind and cute girl with a murderously beautiful smile, who travels out of her motherland, Devgarh, which is a poorly developed country to Rajgarh, a well developed country, during her childhood, due to her father’s job. Several years later, on one fine day, she notices the image of the Young Chocolate Boy prince of Rajgarh, Uday. She immediately falls head over heels with this charming beast. She knew it was next to impossible to have him, but she still wanted to try. Her love story weaved on, only in her heart and mind, in real he did not even know of her existence, until an opportunity knocks on her door. Write a magical fairytale love story between two different individuals that were ‘really’ different.

Tip: remember two states. Here it is two countries…. DIFFERENT is really important. Make sure to keep it real!

So this is all about themes and couples assigned for the groups.. do let me know about how the themes are.

Also, you have already been grouped. And I have also planned on who the first writer will be…
Based on number of participant and the amount if time (36 to 40 hours/ participant..), phase 1 may extend up to September 5th.

Once you have been texted about your group, kindly check this update, (I will send you the link) … and if you are the second or a follow up participant… make sure you have read the preceeding story as well as your theme well, before you begin typing your part of story…

And NEVER disclose about your part or group to anyone until the end of competition. Neither should you tell anyone which number was your turn.
