Mrs.Khadoos v/s Mrs.Malhotra ( Episode 3 )

Hi again guys! Thnq so much for ur feedback and love! And why do I need to keep telling again and again about shorter updates? I have really busy schedule so this is all I can manage with upcoming exams n stuff….I wont write some some words just to increase the length of the chapter and make it look longer…I believe in quality rather than quantity..And also I said right from the beginning….updates are not going to be regular ones like new episode everyday…but i will try my best to update asap…But it feels really good to know u all r liking my story and so eager to read next parts??…So here we go with next episode!

———- Episode 3 ———-

Back at home Jaya tells Saanchi everything about Kusum and her proposal. Trusting her mother’s decision Saanchi agrees. The main reason behind her yes being Jaya’s smile and her respect for Kusum.

“Aap kehti hain toh naa bolne ka koi sawaal hi nahi uthta maa! I am ready for this marriage.”

At Kabir’s home

Here Kusum is amused ?and is enjoying herself a bit too much for Kabir’s liking.

” Maa are you serious?! Where did you even find one? I told you I don’t wanna get married soon. Can’t you understand that I am already married to my work?”

“Tumhare pehle pyaar se mujhe koi aitraaz nahi beta…par tumhari yeh pehli wali biwi ( his work she means) mujhe daadi toh nai bana sakti na!? Yaa uske liye tumne koi aur ladki dhundh li hai?”

“Aisi koi baat nahi hai maa…Maine kaha na mera kisike saath bhi chakkar nai chal raha hai!”

“Toh shaadi karne mein kaisi pareshaani?!”

“Maa~…” Kabir sighs. “Chhodo na…aapka decision toh vaise bhi badalne nahi wala.”

“No beta. Main chahe kuch bhi kahu I won’t force you. If you say no, I will try my best to convince you. Aakhir main tumhari maa hu…har pal tumhari chinta lagi rehti hai..I want the best for you but ultimately it will be your decision and I will respect it no matter what even if it is not what I want.”

And again Kabir was touched by his mother’s words. This is what he liked about her. He thought she would force him to marry since he has been ignoring her request to get married for years now.

Getting emotional he hugs her tight and shares his worries.

“Maa, I don’t think I will be able to give her attention she would demand and she deserves. Few can understand me prioritising my patients ver everything. That’s how a doctors life is and this is not going to change.”

As we know mothers understand us better than ourselves. They always have a ready answer to our problems and even if they don’t they surely make us feel better. Kusum did the same thing. She pulled her son’s head into her lap and ran her fingers through his hair.

“The fact that you realise this is the reason I am sure that you will try your best to take care of her and her wishes. I know you will be a responsible and caring husband for her.”

” Aur mujje tujhpar pura bharosa hai. Aakhir tu mera gollu hai na!”?? She says pulling his cheeks.

Blushing Kabir avoids her gaze.
“Maa …aap bhi na~!”

And then she gets a glint in her eyes. Seeing her amused Kabir enquires the reason.

“Now what Maa…abhi toh maine haa kar di na!”

“Exactly beta. That’s what. I remember how our previous conversations used to be on the same topic. Tab toh tu meri sunne ke liye bhi tayar nai hota tha. Aur ab directly bina ladki ko dekhe shaadi ke liye haa bol diya.”

Without waiting for his answer she starts telling him about his soon to be mom-in-law and wife. Seeing that his mother has already been won over by the lady and her daughter he actually starts listening with interest and is impressed with Saanchi’s record and is already having some expectations from her as he knows she will be not only his wife but his student as well.

‘Saanchi Mishra hmmm…I see you have already earned the title of favourite bahu…lets see how you fare as a wife and if you can earn the title of my favourite student as well.’ He smirks unknowingly.
