Ishqbaaz – Rikara Trust 22

All of them were back from to the Oberoi Mansion and Annika made her batch of Kada in her kitchen. She called everyone downstairs and Shivaye and Rudra are in the kitchen.

S: Not this. Why do I have to drink this? If I just take a tablet, in one gulp, it is done. I do not need to taste anything.

A: Here take this. (She passes a bowl of water to him)

S: Panika, I am already cold. Don’t throw this at me.

A: Stop calling me Panika. When you are done drinking, just stick your entire face into it and rinse your mouth. The taste will be gone

Shivaye and Rudra laugh. There is flashback where Annika puts her entire face into the water after drinking the egg mixture to get rid of the effects of the hangover.

R: Imagine, Bhaiyya doing this. With this looks, it will become a huge trend on Instagram.

A: Hey, I am the only girl who can check out my husband. If you do that, I will deactivate your account and you will lose all your friends.

Realizing what she said, she started blushing and looks at Shivaye.

R: Oh, the blushing game started again (Shivaye and Annika break their eyelock and stare at Rudra.

Gauri and Bhavya come downstairs and drink their Kadas as well.

G: Where is Om? Did he come downstairs to drink Kada?

S: No, I think he is upstairs. Can you take it upstairs to him?

G: Me?

S: That is okay. I will take it upstairs instead.

G: No, it’s okay. It is just that I have never been to Om’s room all this time and I do not what his reaction will be.

S: Just say that I sent you there and he will not say anything.

Gauri takes the Kada and heads toward Om’s room.

Gauri(Thinking): I am not going to enter his room. I am just going to stay by the door and give it to him. That way, I do not need to talk to him.

Gauri knocks on the door and he does not respond. She knocks again and still no response. She opens the door and see Omkara on the bed, sleeping.

G: Om? Om? (She goes up to him and sees him sweating. He was not awake) Omkaraji, you have such a high fever and was extremely cold.

O: Gauri. Gauri…

G: Yes, Omkaraji.. Tell me what you need

O: I am so cold.

G: Give me one second and I will be back.

Gauri turns and she could not move. She turns around and see Om holding her hand.

O: Gauri, don’t leave me.

G: I am just going to get some blankets and turn on a heater. Do not worry. I will be back. I promise.

Om lets go of her hand and Gauri runs around and gets a few blankets and a heater. She turns on the heater and puts on several blankets. Gauri checks the thermometer and it was extremely high.

G: I have seen in movies that body warmth reduce the fever. But, how can I do that? When Om wakes up, seeing me, he will have a panic attack. Let me call everyone else and see what they will do.

Gauri runs to Rudra’s and Shivaye’s room and tells them that Omkara is having a fever and she does not know what to do. The two couples with Gauri go to Omkara’s room. Shivaye calls a doctor and the doctor gives him a medication for fever.

G (Thinking): This is all my fault. He said that he did not want to get wet but I forced him. It is because of me he is suffering. Please, Shankarji, give me the fever and heal Omkaraji.

When Shivaye was going to give the medicine, Gauri says, “Bade Bhaiyya, can we please give him this Kada? The Kada will have a better effect than these artificial medications.

Gauri goes to give him the Kada but he could not get up. Shivaye goes to other side of the bed and both of him, lift his head up and gives him the drink.

R: Bhavya, give me your phone. I am going to record all this so Om can understand how Gauri loves him.

A: Good idea (Rudra takes Bhavya’s phone and turns on the camera. The frame is focused on Omkara’s bed and Gauri slowly tilting the glass so he can drink the Kada slowly. Gauri does not notice the phone recording this.)

Annika leaves and returns with more blankets. “Here, put this around him.” Gauri takes all the blankets and layers it on him.

G: Sorry for bothering but I did not know what do. I just saw Omkaraji shivering and was so scared.

A: Gauri, we are also going to stay here as well.

B: Is that okay with you?

G: Thank you so much.

All the couples stay inside Om’s room and one by one, they start dozing off. Only Gauri is awake.

G (Looks around and see everyone sleeping): Omkaraji, I am so sorry. It is because of me you are suffering. I know you do not respect as your wife but I will stay awake and make sure you get better. (She leans forward and kisses him on the forehead)

Gauri first sits on the bed but starts to doze off. Gauri gets up immediately and starts walking around so she does not start sleeping. She checks his temperature and it was starting to decrease.

Om gets up slowly and looks around. He tries to get up but by then, Gauri notices.

G: Omkaraji, what do you need?

O: I need to use the washroom.

Gauri was feeling really awkward because she herself cannot take him to the washroom. She goes to Shivaye to wake him up, but he is in a deep sleep and does not bother me. She goes to Rudra and he just says, “Bhavya, stop bothering me. Leave me alone.”

Gauri did not have a choice. She had to take him to the washroom.

Gauri carefully helps him up and hesistantly puts her hands on his hip. Omkara puts his arms on her shoulder and takes him to the washroom.

G: When you are done, just knock on the door.

Gauri closes the door and hears a knock. Gauri opens the door and helps Omkara.

O: I want to wash my face. I feel so sticky.

Om tries to open the tap, but when he puts his hands in the water, he just shivers. He unintentionally, opened the cold water and it was ice cold. Gauri notices and turns the tap to the right temperature.

G: Let me do it.

Gauri wets her hands and washes his face gently. Her hand just touching his stubble. This was the first time she touched her face and did not do what to do. Omkara was not in his senses and just stood there.

She takes him back to his bed and gives him water. For the entire night, Gauri was up, and Omkara slept peacefully.
