Chapter 12
Kartik was constantly staring at Naira. He just couldn’t stop looking at that face for which he pleaded for years. He wanted to talk to that person to whom he always talked in pictures. It was like God had returned Kartik Goenka his life. His constant stare was somewhere bugging Naira. She just didn’t want to look up in Kartik’s eyes. Little did she know Kartik knew all that had happened 10 years ago. So finally they were signaled to start the interview. Naira gathered up all her courage and started.
{Guys, N for Naira and K for Kartik}
N: A very welcome to you Mr. Goenka. It’s so good to see you here.
K: I feel even better! Thank you for calling me here. I feel awesome.
N: So, Mr Goenka, you are the new youth icon in business fields. If you don’t mind may I ask you some questions, a little personal?
K: Yeah why not!
N: So Mr Goenka, after you teens in college at the age of 21, you joined your family business. What appreciated you to be so hard working and successful?
K: Some one’s exit from my life made me realize, I really need to work hard to get that person back in my life.
Naira started to realize Kartik was talking about her.
N: Oh okay. Who was that person Sir?
K: My girlfriend.

N: She left you for money sir?
K: No she left me because my family had threatened her to do so. We were of different castes and our families didn’t support us. The day she left me I made up my mind that I have to work so hard in life that I make up a proper reputation, and then go marry her and show the world!
Naira definitely caught that Kartik knew the whole truth, she knew that at any time Kartik would spill the beans out by telling the name, so she avoided that question.
N: So Sir next question!
K: Wait, but won’t you ask me her name. I would love to tell.
Naira felt numb. Publically all this once again! No, that was the only thing she thought.
N: Surely Sir but it won’t be me! Actually my shift is over Sir, now my colleague would join you after the break. See you soon Sir, and it was definitely nice talking to you.
Everybody but seemed confused about what Naira had done but only Kartik understood that she was trying to run away from the situation. Naira quickly got hold of her bag and left the studio crying. Nobody could stop her. Her job nothing. She did not care for anything. She just did not wanted to see all that once again. Because it had already been very difficult for her to set up in an environment and forget everything in 10 years, and by Kartik’s arrival she was reviving that all once again. It was not that she did not love Kartik, she loved him truly, madly, deeply but needed some time. As she left the studio Kartik also ran behind her because today is was a do or die situation for him, no actually it was an only do situation for him because this time he couldn’t let his life go away from him.
