Udaan is one such show, which has been set a mark by bringing the social message in effect to stop child labor, and raise a voice against bonded labor, who are treated like slaves without a soul.
The antagonist in the show Kamal Narayan/Bhaiya ji has his own kingdom in Aazaadgunj, where everyone gets food when he allows them to eat, and is beaten up and killed just for the sake of bringing fears in others. A little girl Chakor is born to end his rule, and is slowly taking her flight, despite all the odds in her life, by the help of Lucknow Collector Ishwar Rawat and his family. The show has much potential and shows the sufferings of people struck by poverty and helplessness, when parents can’t take any step fearing their children’s death. The show has picked up well, like Balika Vadhu, and the channel is really being a part of social cause lift.
