Sharda comes to the hospital with food for all four of them. Karan and Kunal greet her.
Sharda: Come, eat all of you, Meghna I specially requested the hotel people to allow me to make food for you.
All of them smile looking at the door, at someone standing there. It’s Nirmala.
Nirmala: Wah!! Wah Shardaji, even I bought food.
Sharda smiles looking at Meghna.
Meghna: I am the luckiest person on this world. Do do mumma ke haath se banaya khaana mil raha hai.
Kunal: Even me topper (frowning).
They all smile at Kunal and Meghna, and Karan turns and smiles at Naina as if telling her she will be next in line.
After eating,
Sharda: I would suggest all of you go and take some rest.
Nirmala: Yes, now we both are also here. (She turns and smiles at Sharda)
Kunal: But ma….
Sharda: Beta, listen to us, you also need rest, you all have been here all night without rest and you need some sleep now.
Karan and Kunal (together): Okay okay jaa rahe hain.
Karan: Naina, chalo mein tumhe drop kar doongi.
Naina: No Karan I will go by myself.
Nirmala: Arey Naina beta, Karan will drop you, go with him.
Naina looks at Sharda, Sharda nods and smiles.
Naina: Okay aunty.
Nirmala smiles.
Kunal: Okay ma, then Karan take my car, drop Naina and come. I will take Ma’s car.
Karan: Okay Bhai.
Kunal (to Karan- whispers): Tera toh ash hai.
Karan: Bhai! (smiles)
They leave.
Karan drops Naina at her hotel.
Karan: Naina, call me when you are ready, I will come and pick you up.
Naina (a little rudely): No Karan, it’s okay, I will take a taxi.
Karan: But Naina….
Naina: Karan please, maine kaha na I will go by myself.
Karan (upset): Okay.
Karan (thinks to himself): I will not let you be angry with me Naina.
He turns his car.
Naina (to herself): This is not right; it is not even a day since I have met him, and such feelings… NO I will have to control myself, this friendship and all is fine but use aage kuch nahi. I should know my limits.
Karan: But why Naina?
Naina is startled.
Naina: Karan??? You??? How come you are here?
Karan: Usse kya farak padta hai?
Naina: Karan leave. What will people think if they see us together in my hotel room like this?
Karan shuts her mouth with his hand.
Karan: Naina, ab bolne do mujhe. Do baar khoshish kiya maine. Par bol nahi paaya. But this time I will not leave without telling you.
Naina: Karan….
Karan: Shhh….. Naina I love you. I know it’s not even a day since we have met, this might be to be fast – too fast. But this is the truth, I really do love you.
Naina: Karan this is not love it is, it is just infatuation. (Her words stumble)
Karan: Naina, I am mature enough to understand my own feelings and differentiate between infatuation and love. I have never felt like this before, never been concerned for anyone as much as I have been for you. Jab tum behosh hui na, mere saansein ruk gayi.
Naina (cuts him): Karan please, At least mujhe nahi lagta ki mein tumse pyaar karti hoon.
Karan is shattered. He leaves just like that. Naina cries.
Naina: Mein tumhe apni majboori nahi bata sakthi Karan.
After two hours,
Naina: Mumma intezaar kar rahi hogi….. (She then thinks about what Karan said).
She tries to divert her mind.
Naina (to herself): Jaldi chalo Naina…..
She comes down and goes to take a taxi. Someone comes and holds her hand from behind. She turns and sees Karan.
She gets happy seeing him but hides her smile.
Karan: Kitni der lagati ho tum. Come fast now.
Naina is surprised.
Naina: Karan, you, were you waiting for me all this while?
Karan: Of course.
Naina: But I said…..
Karan: I know, I know what you said par mere dil nahi maan raha tha. (He gets serious)Naina, pyaar nahi toh dosti hi sahi.
Naina feels bad.
Naina: Chalo chalte hain.
Karan smiles and starts the car.
Karan (thinks to himself): Aise kya majboori hai Naina?

Karan comes out of the hotel room and he hears Naina crying.
Karan (to himself): Mujhe aise achanak apne feelings ko saamne nahi rakhna chahiye tha.
He proceeds towards the room. When he is near the door he hears Naina saying,
Naina: Mein tumhe apni majboori nahi bata sakthi Karan.
Karan hears that and gets shocked but goes away with a smile on his way.
Karan: Iska matlab shaayad Naina bhi mujhse……. YES!!!!!! I will make you confess Naina! I definitely will…..you are mine, only mine. I love you Naina!!!
He walks away.
