Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga (Shot 11- First Half)

A tired Sonakshi reached her home by 3:30 in the afternoon. She was absolutely drained of all energy. Though she wished to open the gift that Dev had given her, she decided against it and instead preferred a siesta. She woke up in the evening and went to the window. The evening breeze touched her face and relaxed every muscle of her body. As soon as she was revived of her strength she rushed to decipher the surprise. She had guessed it right. It was a DVD.
“What could be in this?”, she wondered as she opened the case. Her eyes nearly popped out in astonishment when she read-

“CHAHUN MAIN YA NA”

“By Sonakshi Bose??? Why? When? How? When did he? I mean….How could he? I mean….he must be kidding me for sure!”
Sonakshi was hell confused. She couldn’t think of anything so she played the DVD. And guess what! It was HER voice. Yes! The same song she had sung yesterday. She was undoubtedly super surprised.
She tried to rewind all that had happened yesterday afternoon.

“Meera had asked me to sing Chahun Main Ya Na….and he had said he loved that song….then I said something to Piya and she said something to me…….wait!!…go back……he said he loved that song and……and he took out his phone….. Yes! And I thought it was really rude of him to be engrossed in his phone when I was singing his favourite song. OH MY GOD!! I was such a fool. God!!! He was recording my song. But why did he do that? Yeh toh usi se poochna padega. She took out her phone and dialled his number. It didn’t even ring twice before he picked it up.

Dev: Hey captain!

Sona: Phone pe hi baithe the kya?

Dev: Haha! Nahi but pata tha tum call karogi. So how was the surprise?

Sona: It was “SURPRISE” defined. But why did you do all this?

Dev: Oh plz don’t think it was for you! I’m a very selfish man. You were singing my favourite song and I knew you sing well, so I thought of recording it, ONLY for me! But then I thought, being the singer it was your right to know that someone is secretly cherishing your voice and your song. So I gifted a copy of it to you too.

Sona: Oh! Now I get it. Anyway, thank you for your gift Mr. Dixit.

Dev: Your most welcome Ms. Bose. So kya kar rahi thi aap?

Sona: Kuch nahi…..school se aate hi so gayi….phir uthi toh aapka gift leke baith gayi aur ab aapse baat kar rahi hu. Aap sunaiye kya haal chaal hain?

Dev: Arre poochiye mat! School se nikal hi rahe the ki class ke ladko ne bola ghumne chalte hain….toh bas abhi dilli-darshan kar ke lauta hoon. Ab baith ke padhna hai. H.C. Verma ke 150 questions: aaj ka target!

Sona: Woah! Charan kaha hai aapke prabhu? Seriously? 150 questions  after such a hectic day? And you haven’t even slept. Aise toh beemar ho jaaoge.

Dev: Arre sounga na raat ko….ghode gadhe….sab bech ke sounga. Don’t worry. Ab IIT ke liye thodi mehnat toh karni hi padegi.

Sona: True! But I’ve full faith in you. You’ll crack it in the very first attempt…TOPPER!

Dev: Haha! Hope so too.

Sona: Acha chalo, you study, we’ll talk later! Bbye!

Dev: Ya bye!

Though this was the end of their conversation for the day, Sonakshi could not stop contemplating about Dev. He had, by now, reserved his place not only in her mind, but also in her heart. It was only for her to realise, and today, she could actually feel her feelings for him.

“What is he? How does he always manage to bring a smile on my face? Why does everything feel so special when he is around? I sometimes wonder if he’s even real. Since the day I know him, he’s been full of surprises and all I’ve been able to do is, admire him. He’s not like any other guy I’ve ever met, he’s different, he’s special. That magic in his eyes binds me to trust him blindly. To think of him being with me fills me with an unwonted pleasure. This is a very different feeling altogether. I’m sure it isn’t just infatuation. Then what is it? The more I try to suppress it, the more it shows up. Is this what love is like? Am I…..? Do I…..? Nooo…..I mean….how can I….? But…..why can’t I…? Urghh! This is all so confusing. I’ve never felt anything for anyone like this before. This is weird. This is beautiful…..this IS love.

I Love Him. I’ve fallen for him. Why? When? Where? Pata nahi! All I know is that I love him with all my heart.

P.S. This was only the first half of this chapter. I couldn’t complete it as I was really busy the whole day and since jo wada kiya woh nibhana padega I had to post today.
