Lies bring them closer – Ishqbaaz ff Chapter 25

Rudra POV
It had been 2 months since I woke up from coma. Yesterday, finally the doctor had allowed me to roam around the house. I walked into the balcony. My eyes widened and I felt my anger increase. There standing in my garden was the girl that stole more than a year of my life.
“Mama!”
Shivani ran towards her and latched herself on her leg. She laughed.
“Arre Shivi……Mama is going to have a baby now, if you hug like this Mama will fall.”
Their voices carried to me. That was when I noticed that she was pregnant. Mama?
Did that mean? No! No, it can’t be. Had she? Was that Shivaay Bhaiya’s child?
I stormed downstairs. “Shivaay Bhaiya! O! Prinku!” I shouted.
A maid ran up to me. “Rudra Sir. They went to get something. Do you need anything?”
I scowled. “Where is Shivani?”
The maid cowered. “Woh Sir……Shivani……”
Saumya walked in with Shivani.
“Arre Rudra! What are you doing here? Doctor told you not to walked around too much.”
I curtly nodded. “Where are you going?”
She smiled her cute puppy smile. “Rudi, I will just put Shivani down for her nap then we can play some video games. You sit in the living room.”
I watched her go upstairs and waited till she turned into Shivani’s playroom then I stormed into the garden. I saw someone move into the guesthouse. The door was open when I walked in. Then I saw the source of all my problems talking on the phone.
“Haan SB. Yeah….No…..They all went out. I saw him leave…….you better come in half an hour.”
She giggled at something and then cut the call.
“What are you doing here?” I hissed. I saw her stiffen and the phone slip out of her hand. She turned around.
“You?”
I smirked. “Don’t tell me you forgot me so easily after you conned my brother.”
She looked horrified. “Rudra?”
She whispered. I watched her take small steps back.
“Who were you talking to? Your next client?” I shouted at her as she trembled in my grip.
“Leave me……I am not who you think I am.”
I sneered. “Yeah right. You think I forget you so easily. You watch I am going to tell my brother everything.”
Pushing her to a side, I walked out of the front door.
“Rudra….Please….” She shouted.

Anika POV
I watched as Rudra slammed the door behind him. I inched towards the phone that had fallen when Rudra pushed me and pressed the last dialled number.
“Haan Anika Di….” Naveen’s chirpy voice came through the receiver. I winced and tried to conceal the searing pain.
“Nav….” Was all I could say before the pain got worse.
I could hear him shout but could not say anything but scream in pain.

Shivaay POV
As I drove into the garden, my heart clenched. I knew something was wrong.
“Bhaiya! Naveen’s car!” Prinku squealed.
What was that useless Raichand doing here? Suddenly, I saw Naveen carrying a screaming Anika out and Jia following close by.
Jia was on the phone with someone. “We don’t know. We are taking her. Yes, she asked for you when we ran in.”
Om and I jumped out of the car but by then Naveen’s car was already out of the gates and it was being driven at lightening speed. I saw Rudra thumping down the stairs.
“Bhaiya! O!” He came towards us.
Right behind him, Aarya came running and she looked pale. What was she doing outside? We had told her to stay in her room. Rudra looked pale like he had seen a ghost.
“Omkara! I just saw the commotion. What happened to Di?”
Rudra looked dumbstruck.
Prinku climbed out of the car. “Shivaay Bhaiya, I just called Jia. Anika Bhabhi is having extreme pain. They are rushing her to cradle.
We reached the hospital in 20 minutes. Om drove the car like the devil himself was behind the wheel. We came to a screeching halt in front of the hospital. When we ran into the gynaecology section, we saw Jia and Naveen. Both were on the phone.
“Navi…..did you get him?” Jia asked.
Naveen shook his head. “No, I even asked Ma. Maybe he went to to Anika’s studio. They were supposed to meet there, right?”
My hands clenched and I ground my teeth.
Suddenly, a nurse came out. Jia ran towards her.
“How is she?”
The nurse looked harassed. “She is okay now. The doctor wants to talk to one of you. She is asking for ……”
I could not hear what the nurse said but I moved forward to follow the nurse when Jia turned towards Naveen. Aarya had paled a bit.
“Naveen, call SB again. Tell that Anika is asking for him.”
Naveen lifted his phone to call. After a few minutes, we heard a phone ringing near us.
“Navi…..Jia…..how is she?” A man ran towards the siblings. We could not see his face. Jia pushed him towards the nurse. “She wants you.” she said.
He pushed the door open and went in. I walked to the door. She had her arms around him and was sobbing loudly. I turned to the nurse.
“Is the child okay?”
The nurse nodded. “Yes, the children are okay.”
Children? My mind screamed.
“Children?” Jia blurted.
The nurse looked puzzled. “Oh, I am sorry…I thought the couple would have told you. She is pregnant with triplets.”
Triplets? She never told me. Did she plan to leave with my kids? With that man?
The door opened and out stepped the man of my nightmares.
Shaurya Raichand……my sister’s murderer.
