Lady Bacchan (who’ll more often be referred to as Suman Aunty from now) guided DevAkshi to their flat. It was a small cozy one. There was just one room with a round bed. There was an old study table which looked like it will break down any minute & a gramophone on a distant corner …

LB: Mrs. Dixit I want to warn you two about something, this study table, gramophone & lampshade are very dear to me, more than my own life. After giving all the details LB left them alone. Sona ran to the window which gave a breathtaking view of the valley. As far as her eyes could see huge stern mountains stood in all their glory. The sun was hiding behind the mountains. Rows of Deodars & other coniferous trees lined the hillside. A whistling thrush (bird) sat on the branch of the nearest Rhododendron & sang a beautiful tune
