His Solace.. His Angel – Part 7

Sanskar entered into the house and went straight to his parents room. So many memories were attached to the room. Sitting down on the bed he rested his back on the headboard and closed his eyes with their family photo in his hand.

Sanskar’s Dream :
He was surprised when he saw his dad standing right in front of him. He hugged his father immediately and asked “dad you are alive”? “No my child I am not. But I came here because I knew my son needs me. I know you are confused on what is the right thing to do and I’m here to guide you to the right path son” said his father. “But how do you know about it”? asked a curious Sanskar. “That’s not important son. Now come with me” his dad said and all of a sudden smoke enveloped both of them.
He suddenly found himself in a different place. “See where you are right now Sanskar”. Sanskar looked around himself. It appears to be a place between light and dark. It was hard to describe how exactly it looks like. The surrounding was stunning layered with bright colors. It held what seemed like a magical air. But if you look closely behind that brightness it held something darker. It held the things you didn’t want to see. The part that held things people didn’t want to think about. “We humans are no different from this place Sanskar” said Sanskar’s dad interrupting him in his observation. His father then continued, “You know how my life was before I met your mother”? But without waiting for his son to answer he continued “It was cold. Dark and painful. Whenever I fell no one was there to catch me. To reassure me that everything will be okay. My world was cruel. But then I met her. The blissful light of my life. I know you are afraid of hurting your angel my son. But hear me before you take any decision. You will never get the feeling elsewhere which you will experience when she will look at you with eyes full of happiness and love. To be looked at as if you matter as if you are something. If you are scared that you will hurt her then try to better for her Sanskar, for your Angel. You can’t fight with your faith Sanskar. Have faith in your love. Knowing you are loved is an exhilarating feeling my son. It is an addiction and knowing that the Angel who you value more than your own breaths fell in love with you is a feeling out of the world”. “Think about my words my child. Destiny has given you an angel for a reason son. Accept it before it’s too late” were the parting words of his father.
Dream Ends

He woke up sweating still startled from his dream. He came here to be at peace but the consequences were rather opposite of what he intended to. It was getting late so he came out of the house and drove back to his mansion. Without eating his dinner he walked to his room and laid down on his bed trying to sleep but sleep was far away from him. He was still pondering about the dream he had earlier.
Next day when an older servant came to his room to inform him about breakfast Sanskar stopped him. Ramu Kaka has been serving his family since his childhood. Mostly Sanskar avoid talking to any of the servants but Ramu Kaka was close to him. Though not frequently but once in a while Sanskar share his problems with him. Seeing him lost in thoughts Ramu Kaka asked him, “what’s the matter beta? Is there something bothering you. You know you can share with me. Your father used to share his problems with me when he was still alive”. “What’s your opinion about love kaka? asked Sanskar curious about his answer. “Well I can’t particularly describe it because it has depth which is beyond words. But I will tell you one thing. You are indeed very lucky if you meet the true love of your life. Love is a blessing my child. Take it before you lose it. Love is done with heart not mind” said Ramu Kaka and went away telling him to come fast for breakfast.
Sanskar whose mind till now was fogged up with confusion finally got all his answers. His dad’s words came to his mind and he closed his eyes. Image of his Angel appeared before his closed eyes and he whispered, “I have taken my decision Dad. I have taken my decision”.

Finally the college ended and Ragini was waiting for her father to pick her up. “Hey Ragini do you need a ride home? You know I have a car” asked Divya. “T-thanks Divya but my father is p-picking me u-up” replied Ragini politely. “Oh it’s okay then. I can accompany you till then and it’s Divs. You always forget that”. “S-sorry” apologized Ragini. At that moment a white Mercedes stopped in front of her and her father came out of the car. Her father immediately hugged her tightly as you do to a lost child and Ragini too hugged her dad with the same fervor. Her father then asked her in a loving tone “So how was my princess first day of college”? “It was awesome papa. You know I made two friends today”. “Well that’s good to know sweetie. Can I meet my princess new friends” asked her dad. “Hello sir. I am Ragini’s friend. Divya and he is my boyfriend Aditya” said Divya motioning towards Aditya who just came over there. “It was nice meeting both of you. I think we should head back home now” saying this both of them settled in the car without giving any heed to the students who were watching the scene. Some of them had an awe expression, some were simply not interested while a few were trying to control their laughter.
