JAB WE MET in US by Neha (Chapter 2)

Chapter 2-
As soon as the game completed Clarie went near Anika and sat besides here.
Clarie: (with her American accent) Hey, Ani he seems to be Indian and he is so cute. Look at his style he has made me his admirer don’t you think so?
Anika: No ways. Have you seen the attitude and ego he is having? He behaves as if he is owns the world. You fall for someone quickly.
Anika could not express that even she has secretly become his admirer somewhere in her heart.
Clarie: Come on Ani, leave it. It was your fault too. It’s the time for photos let’s go.
By hearing the word photos Anika instantly got up almost forgetting that her leg was still huting but she could ignore it. Anika was a vivid photographer and liked to click her photos. They seemed to her as a memory to be cherished. She had albums of places she visited and several separate photos folders in her digital storage. But almost in all the photos she was alone yet happy owing to few reasons. And of course not to forget she had a lovely photogenic face.
The girls gathered and were clicking photos in group. This was the gang of Clarie’s friends but now even Anika was familiar with them. Clarie was born and brought up in US. She is a chirpy, fun loving and totally enthusiastic girl. She is classmate of Anika and both of them are pursuing their post graduation studies at MIT. MIT is one of the best institutes in the world and Anika got enrolled into it by excelling a scholarship. Anika was a pretty girl with great minds. At a very young age she had refused academic financial help from her parents.
Anika had almost click great photos of everyone and many selfie’s including her with managing her leg carefully. Now they wanted a group photo amid the sun and that was coming somewhat black in selfie mode and they wanted it in from the front view.
Suddenly Clarie excused herself and went somewhere.

Anika POV-
After few minutes I saw Clarie returning with that kanji akho wala guy. I gave her a frown look and she was smiling mischievously. I made up a decision that I will teach Clarie a lesson later. But how do I cope up with him now? As they were coming closer, I could observe kanji akho wala person was glaring victoriously. Wohh !Clarie great move. I said that I will return in few minutes to avoid the situation but Martha (Claire’s school friend) stopped me and said wait till the photo gets completed.
I could see he was straight away heading towards me and my heart beats were growing faster. Soon, he came next to me and asked for the camera. It took me 7-8 secs to respond and that was so dumb of me. As he took the camera, our hands touched and that feeling was so naive and in the process our eyes too met which made both of us smile a little.
Then he asked everyone one to arrange and guided their positions. He must know sort of photography, I thought.
Shivaay -Say cheese and smile beauties!

Click! Click! He took photos from various angles. That did impress all the girls.
Martha- Thank you! That was so sweet of you. Have a nice day!
Then as he was just leaving…
Clarie : Hey, wait a second.
Shivaay- What?

Clarie: Can I ask you another favor? I want a candid photo with you me and my bestie Anika. Please don’t refuse.
Shivaay- Do you think I can refuse a cutie like you?
(Anika in her mind) How flirty he is ? Indian boys are so. I have always seen they don’t leave any chance to impress beauties and they use a disgusting word tadna for it.
Shivaay POV- So her name was Anika. Indeed a unique name, well I have never heard that in India. Also, her friend is so calm unlike her. I positioned myself between both of them and I could sense that Anika tried to maintain distance compared to her other US friend. That is so like a typical Indian girl and she was dressed fine compared to others who were in swimsuits and bikinis. That doesn’t suits us. I am so attached to my roots and follow it. Also, I love my powerful family a lot above everything else.
Then Clarie went to see the photo as Martha was only a learner in photography. Wow! It’s so cool it will be my display pic on social media and that will make Jamie jealous. Haha!
Shivaay: Jamie?

Anika: Arre, he is her cute boyfriend. They make a lovely couple.
(Shivaay in mind)- Cute huh? Till now she was quite and suddenly started speaking.
Shivaay: Ohh! Nice.
Clarie: Wait a min; I want to click a photo too. Can you both come a little closer? Sorry, gentleman I won’t take your much time. Already I have troubled you a lot.
(Anika in mind)- I hate Clarie. I know her antiques and what she is up to. I will trouble her soon. I know I cannot refuse her.
Shivaay : It’s fine dear. I am cool with it as long as your friend doesn’t have a problem like earlier.
Before Anika answered I ca…..
Clarie (cutting her): She never refuses me, right Ani?
Anika- Okay! Make it quick.

Anika POV- As we were clicked, everyone had a teasing look on their face. I don’t care. Then all of a sudden the thin belt of my red crop top fell off my shoulders. I was so worried and before I began to bring it back to its place…
He quickly set it right back. The moment he touched me I felt current whooshing inside me then he came near to my ears and whispered which was audible to everyone….
Shivaay- Dhyan Kaha hai tumhara? (Where is your attention?)Such reviling clothes don’t suit Indian girls! My sister always wears a suit. You could have come on a Kurti-Pyjama on a beach!
He said to that to Anika teasingly with a grin on his face. Then he winked at her and said Shivaay Singh Oberoi never loses a fight. With that he left collecting fistful of sand and put it inside his pocket.
THIS LEFT EVERYONE SHOCKED, INCLUDING ANIKA.
