Kriyam : Kyun karte ho muhjse itna pyar (Chapter 33)

Raj’s smile got wider once he saw saiyyam. They hugged each other..He turned to suhani and said..
Raj : yeh hai mera yaar…. Hum dono bachpan se saath hai…aashram mein sab kuch ek saath karte the..saath mein khana saath mein khel na…( this is my friend we were always together since childhoos. In the orphanage we used to do everything together…eat together play together…)
Baby: Aur saath mein chori bhi karte the.. ( and you used to steal together as well)
Raj: Tu!..tu bhi yahan..i mean main jaanta ta ki tu humesha se saiyyam ke gale padti ti par tu uske ghar tak bhi pohonch gayi..maana padega..( you..you are also here.. I mean I know you used to be obsessed with saiyyam but you followed him all the way to his house…you are really something..)

Baby: yeh ghar mera bhi hai.. mera sasural hai.. ( this is my house as well, my inlaws house)
Raj starts laughing…
Raj: tujhe main bohot ache se jaante hain baby..tu ghar banati nahin ghar todhti hai… and im sure tujhe yahan rakhna in sab ka shauk nahi inki majboori hai..( I knows you very well baby and im sure keeping you here isn’t there luxury its their helplessness)
Baby: you just shut up

Suhani: bas karo tum dono..Aur saiyyam yeh sab kya hai. Tumhare dost ko bulaana tha toh aise hi bulaa le te yeh sab baatein isse bataane ki kya zaroorat thi. (Enough you two. And saiyyam if you wanted to invite your friend here you could have just invited him for a stay what was the need to tell him about the marriage)
Saiyyam: Kyun. Kya problem hai.. aap logon ko Krishna ki shaadi karani thi aur dulha doond na tha… ab Krishna ka dost hone ke naate mera bhi toh kuch farz banta hai ke nahi aap ki help karne ka..aur Raj ko main bohot ache se jaanta hoon. Bohot khush rakhega Krishna ko…..(Why whats the problem. You all wanted to get Krishna married and find her a groom right. And as Krishna’s friend I too have some responsibility to help you all don’t I and Ive known Raj my whole life. He’ll keep Krishna very happy)
Krishna: Tumne bulaya isse yahan? (You called him here)
Krishna’s voice was cracking up..you could tell she was on the verge of crying..
Saiyyam: Haan. Maine kaha ta na tumse main ek acha dost banke dikaooga (Yes I told you I will become a good friend to you)

Krishna thought to herself
Krishna: Tum kab tak apni feelings se bhaagoge saiyyam.. ek acha dost baneki chahat…mera tumhare kamre main na hone pe tumhara chidna..meri khushi ke liye humare rishte ko kurbaan karna…yeh pyar nahi toh aur kya hai…Tum kyun apne dil ki baat nahi samajh te..(How long will you run away from your feelings saiyyam, the desire to be a good friend to me, the annoyance when im not there with you in your room, sacrificing our relationship because you think my happiness lies in this….How is all of this not love…why don’t you understand your own feelings..)
Her thoughts were interrupted by Raj..
Raj: Arey acha dost baneka kya matlab hai…tere jaisa yaar toh doondne pe bhi nahi mileyga. Waise yaar mujhe na apni would be wife se akele main kuch baat karni hai..agar aap sab ki ijaazat ho toh…( What do you mean you will become a good friend..no one can find a better friend then you even if they start looking. Anyways friend, I was thinking I need to talk to my bride to be in private…if that’s ok with you all)
Saiyyam: Ya sure tum dono ko ek doosre ke saath time spend karna chahiye ( Ya sure you two should spend time with each other)
Suhani: Koi kahin nahi jaaega..Humein iss maamle ko lekar sab badon ke beech mein sala karni hai..uske baad hi faisla hoga ki karna kya hai…(No one is going anywhere. We adults need to discuss this matter then only a decision will be made regarding what to do next)

Krishna: Nahi aunty… mujhe bhi inse akele baat karni hai…iss baat ko aage badane mein mujhe koi problem nahin hai..( No aunty even I want to speak to him privately I have no problem carrying this marriage matter forward)
Everyone was shocked…Saiyyam tried to hide the obvious discomfort he was feeling…He didn’t think Krishna would agree so easily and he was troubled by the idea of her and Raj alone in a room…He was all too familiar with how easy it was for Raj to win people over…An immediate fear crept in..He was suddenly feeling insecure..Terrified that Raj really was the better man and that sooner or later everybody might see that. He then started to wonder why he was having contradictory thoughts..on the one hand he wanted Krishna to find a better man and be happy but on the other he was afraid of losing her
