Chapter 15 (a)
I watched Bhabhi’s sister glare at me.
I had been out for a stroll. I mean what else could I do? I was stuck here in London for a three week conference and seminar. The bane of being an Oberoi especially when your brother is in a coma and the other is doing damage control, you get sent to seminars and conferences just for show. I mean I had not noted anything down. I had drawn caricatures of the speakers while Neha, Shivaay’s assistant took down all the notes. I was just a dummy placed there.
I had been shocked out of my wits when she landed in front of me. She looked like Bhabhi’s clone except for icy blue eyes. I mean she is Bhabhi’s twin after all.
“I am not mentally challenged.” She hissed.
I smirked again. “Hmmmm……..I guess that is something a doctor or others should decide.”
She strode up to me. “Oiii Mr. Long Hair, don’t you dare say I am mad.”
Mr. Long hair? Seriously?
“You know you could just ask my name. It is Om by the way.”
She scoffed. “Om…..so boring. Long hair sounds so much better.”
Then the door opened. She immediately scooted to my side.
I chuckled. “Chill scaredy cat. It opens into the penthouse owned by me.”

She walked in. She was touching all the expensive crystals. “Mr. Long Hair, what do you think about marrying me?”
My smile faltered. She may be Bhabhi’s twin but did not behave anything like her.
She plopped onto the sofa and kicked off her boots and threw my scarf to the side.
“Long Hair, can you get me some food?”
I cringed at the name. Seriously Long hair?
“So Aarya, how did you get stuck with him?”
She lay silent for a few minutes. Guess she was spellbound by everything. I walked to the fridge to get her something to eat.
“Don’t call me Aarya. I am Annie. Aarya is the name of a good girl. I am not.”
I did not know how to reply.
“By the way, Long Hair……..how do you know Anika? And why do you call her Bhabhi?”
I sat down on another sofa. “Well that is because your sister is married to my brother.”

She suddenly sat up. “WHAT? You are Shivaay Singh Oberoi’s brother?”
I felt disgusted at her expression. I knew she was probably thinking of the money I had.
“Then why don’t you have his Kanji an…..ankein?” I almost burst out laughing. Here was someone with so similar eyes. That was what she was thinking?
“Well, your sister does not have Kanji ankein as you do?”
She stood up. “Hey! My eyes are not kanji….whatever that means.” She flopped back down.
What she did not know what she just said?
“How do you know he has ‘kanji ankein’?”
She was curled up on the sofa grouchily. She just shook her head. “I don’t want to talk to you. You are mean.” She snapped.
I riled back in shock. Was she really the dangerous siren Rudra and Shivaay talked about? She was acting like a stubborn 4 year old.
“Aarya…..” She shot me a glare. “How do you know about his eyes?”
She shot up. “Of course did you think I wouldn’t read the magazines. And Ani told me about him. And quit calling me Aarya.” She whined.
I shook my head. My phone started buzzing in my hand. It was Shivaay.
“Aarya…..I have to take this call.”

She glared at me. “It is Annie.” She huffed before switching on the tv. I walked into the next room.
“Haan Shivaay……yeah, Neha took the notes. She will send it in……Is Shivani with you?”
Suddenly there was a crash from the living room.
I immediately cut the call and rushed out. Aarya was holding two champagne bottles in her hand and standing on the counter.
“Oi….Long Hair……you know this tastes so delicious.”
I rushed to her side. “Aarya……what the hell did you do? Who allowed you to drink from my cabinet?”
Her eyes started tearing up. “Why are you scolding me?”
I calmed myself down. “Aarya, please sit down.”
She wobbled and gently sat down. I noticed that both the bottles were empty. I felt anger rise.
“You know Long Hair……..sometimes I wonder whether your brother is so stupid.”
My head snapped up in her direction. How dare she insult my brother?
“What do you mean?”
She jumped off the counter and sways. I reach out my hand to stabilise her. “I mean a girl claims to be your niece’s mother and you don’t even check for proof? I mean are you The Oberois or some poor middle class family.”
Did she not even know science? “He checked whether it was Rudra’s child.”
She smiled mockingly. “And it would have come positive. I know that. It is his kid after all.”
What was she trying to indicate?
“She is not my child. Anika does not know.”

Author’s note: Even I was mixed about Annie and Om. I mean especially since Om is Rudra’s brother. So technically, it is kind of weird. I hope you liked this new twist I brought in. Also I was had written this chapter before the previous one, so I was kind of shocked when one of you guys suggested this. I was almost like wow, she just stole it out of my mind but then I put a twist to that.
So I read through all my chapters to check whether Anika was with Annie when she gave birth to Rudra’s child. And I noticed she was not. And from there came the idea. And it is a fiction, anything can happen. While I try to keep it as close to reality, sometimes I am forced to take inspiration from the Indian soaps where even dead people become alive. 😛
