Precious (Shivaay and Anika) Episode 11

Hi everyone. 🙂 I know that the last episode wasn’t all that important to the current track. But I hope you still enjoyed it. I don’t think this episode will be important to the current storyline, but this will give a more detailed character sketch of the protagonists. I might use this as a reference in later episode, and till then I hope you enjoy it 🙂 Also I’m glad no one murdered me for the last one 😉 let’s begin with the episode.

Episode 11: Precious

SHIVAAY’S POINT OF VIEW

Anika had left long ago, and yet the same thing was going on in my mind. How could I be dreaming of her? The soft hands around me and her voice as she sang “My Billuji” was etched clearly in my brain, as if it was real. And that made it scarier! I was still standing in front of the mirror, thinking what it could possibly mean. And that’s the view Om saw when he came back from his morning walk. He walked casually and plopped down on the bed.

“You look as if you’ve seen a ghost!” he commented. “Nope”, I denied almost reflexively. He smiled and shook his head, confident in his theory, and at the same time he knew I won’t say it. We went down together and after breakfast he went to his studio. I went down to check on Swetlana and get the updates. There wasn’t any solid proof against Bade Papa and Dad yet, but there were some hints that he could have done something wrong. No one knew what it was, nor was there any evidence about it. I instructed them to keep looking into it until something comes up. If they had done something wrong, they would have covered it up well. And if I probe into it, they’ll know. And they’ll definitely try talking me out of it.

That was my plan for now. I also asked Khanna to do a background check on Tia, something that I had never thought of doing. For some reason Swetlana’s words had planted a doubt in my head. Trying to not think much about it, I left for the office after sometime. As I was leaving, I saw her saying something to Dadi and Rudra with a serious face, and then she burst out laughing! Dadi and Rudra also laughed listening to her talk. I was suddenly curious about it, but then I remembered the dream and hurried away. Little did I know that they were talking about me!

ANIKA’S POINT OF VIEW

There was so much to be done! Afternoons were always quiet at the Oberoi Mansion. That’s why they were the best time to get everything done. ‘This year’s Diwali will be a memorable one’, I thought to myself. I never knew how true it was! I checked off the list in my head. The lights were done, the ceiling decoration was done, the sweets were ordered in advance, and just a few more things were left to be done. I switched on the lights and the hall shone brightly. The golden theme looked magical. There were a few lights which weren’t working, so I checked them. The beauty made me want to sing! I was humming to myself as I thought no one was watching.

This was one of my favourite songs. It was not that I wanted someone to take me away; it was just that the thought felt so lovely! I couldn’t stop myself and skipped and turned, half-dancing in a way, while checking if everything was perfect. The next stanza of the song reminded me of Billuji. But I ignored that weird feeling and continued in my happy mood.

All this while, I thought how perfectly this song fit him. He had laughed out loud and danced at the party when both of us were drunk. And he looked so peaceful, almost cute, when he had rested his head on my lap after having painkillers. And the look he had on his face when I was unconscious from the poisonous gas and he had saved me. I halted the train in my brain which was stopping only at Billuji’s station. “Focus Anika!” I said to myself and then continued with my work, still humming to myself!

SHIVAAY’S POINT OF VIEW

‘Is there a male version of that song?’ I found myself wondering. Anika was so different! I don’t think anyone would do that, but Anika wasn’t anyone else. She was singing and dancing with such happiness that even I felt it from afar. Leaning against the door, I had seen the craziest and yet the sweetest form of Anika. I was still shocked with myself that I could find her sweet! I went to see Om, the feelings expert. He was working and I talked about random things for some time. After some time I asked him. “Om, if something happened and you didn’t know whether it was good or bad, how would you decide?” He smiled knowingly. “If you are happy, then it’s good. If not, then it’s bad”, he said simply.

“Yeah, I felt happy, but it definitely cannot be good! No matter how I see it, it can’t be!” I felt as if my head would explode because of this.
Om calmly explained, “If you know you’re happy, you shouldn’t think so much. Shivaay, you shouldn’t miss out on what is because of what should be.” Yes, he was right. I wouldn’t think about it much. I nodded and he raised his eyebrows at me. “What?” I asked. “You tell me”, he countered.

“I was just wondering, you know. It was a hypothetical question anyway!” I gave some vague excuse and made my escape. As soon as I reached my room, Khanna called. I picked it up and the news surprised me. I rushed out to find Anika. I asked everyone but no one knew. I started getting worried for her, but then I saw her through the window in her office-room. I was so overjoyed to see her! I went in and just stood there looking at her for a few seconds.
“Do you know how amazing you are?” Her increased confusion reflected on her face, and yet she answered, “Yeah. Why?”
I laughed inwardly and shook my head at her. Then I pulled her in for a hug.

PRECAP: Shivaay was saying something and pulled Anika with him as the family was watching them in shock. They stopped and looked at each other, thinking what to do.
