(Shauraya’s pov)

‘Why did you lie that I wasn’t behind this?’ I questioned her. I was literally left shocked at the end after her narration was over. How could she hide all this from me? Not only did she hide facts but also lied to her brother. And now, she was sitting still without replying anything to me. WAIT!!! Did she actually believe that I was behind that murder… No, she cannot think this.

‘Believe me Surbhi. I wasn’t…’

‘I know you can never do this. And forget all this, tell me when, why, how you came to my house.’ She flashed one of her smiles at me but I knew that it was a forced one. She just wanted to lighten my mood and the ambience. Soon, she was lost in her phone. I guess she was planning to call someone.

The landline in my room was continuously ringing. I watched the clock hanging on the wall. It was the exact time that she would call up to me. I picked up the receiver as she said excitedly, ‘Hello.’

I remained mum in spite of knowing that she would be upset listening no reply from my side.

‘Bhai,’ I heard the pain in her voice as she called out to me. I could hear her sobbing at the other end. That’s it. I was not able to take it anymore. I slammed the receiver back as I banged my fist on the table. I just want her to realize where she went wrong? ‘I’ll return soon,’ I mumbled as I tended my hurt hand.

(Surbhi’s pov)

Bhai had hung up the call as I broke down. Shauraya consoled me as I kept dabbing the tissue papers on my cheeks to wipe the tears off.

‘There is a surprise for you. I am shifting a floor above you.’

This thing of him really diverted my mind as I stood up amazed and questioned him, ‘When? Why?’

‘Relax.’ He made me sit down as he continued, ‘I have some work so I have shifted here. Just for a few months.’

He quickly picked up my phone as he pressed a button.

‘What?? What are you doing?’

I snatched my phone back as I tried switching it on. But before I could do so, he snatched it from me again and held it strongly between his grip.

‘Today is Sunday and so we’ll roam the city. And no disturbance.’ He waved my phone as he quickly inserted into his back pocket. I gave him an angry look as I crossed my arms. He came to me as he pushed me into the washroom.

‘Get ready soon,’ I heard him shouting as I laughed.

(Vicky’s pov)

We had landed in Delhi a while ago and were in one of our houses here. I was trying to call her frantically and my umpteen efforts seemed to fade away. ‘Switched off,’ I muttered. I had no clue where she was and what she was up to. I needed to tell her this thing so urgently. Bro entered the room as I quickly brushed off those creases from my forehead.

‘Let’s roam this city.’

It was more of an order from him as I requested him to wait for a few minutes as i needed to make a call to my friend. He nodded his head as he went out of the room uttering, ‘Come soon. I’m waiting.’

I again called up her but it was of no use. I don’t know what will happen when they’ll come to face each other tomorrow.
