The Episode starts with Sanjhbati stepping in as Jhanak’s shield. She calmly explains to the committee that she personally took Jhanak home on Freshers’ Day, and later Rishi dropped her back at college. The professor also stands firm, reminding everyone that even in the protest incident, Jhanak was not at fault. She warns that if they twist the story, she won’t hesitate to involve Indrani again.
Mishti tries to justify the alcohol at the party, but the professor demands to know who gave permission to bring it in. The student union goes silent.
Jhanak, shaken but honest, tells the committee that she didn’t smell alcohol in the juice Mishti and her friends offered. She drank it simply because she was happy—happy to be accepted as their “friends.” Her vulnerability makes the room fall quiet.
Rishi then shocks everyone by defending her truth. He says Jhanak only spoke her heart in that drunken state because they were married once. Their past is personal and no concern for the college.
Sanjhbati pushes harder, asking why the college has a problem with something that isn’t even legally questionable. She also asks the crucial question: Who locked the medical room from outside?
Rishi steps forward as a police officer, not just as Jhanak’s ex-husband. He calls in sweeper Shyam, who confirms the door was locked from outside — and the key was handed to him by Mishti’s friend, with Mishti standing there too.
Mishti tries lying again, but Rishi shuts her down sharply.
Sanjhbati exposes the entire setup — students plotted to ruin Jhanak and Ayush’s reputation. Rishi warns he can arrest them if he chooses. The committee is stunned.
Later, Jhanak breaks down thinking Rishi was insulted because of her. Rishi apologizes to her for pushing her in anger. Sanjhbati encourages her to stay strong and focus on her studies, promising her support. Jhanak quietly accepts the tiffin she gives her.
Mishti watches this from afar, fuming. She decides they will “teach Jhanak a lesson” and blames her for using Rishi and Sanjhbati, twisting everything to fit her insecurity.
After Sanjhbati leaves, Rishi confronts Jhanak gently. He asks why she can confess he’s her husband only when drunk, but not when sober. He leaves her confused and emotional.
Mishti confronts Jhanak again, accusing her of trying to break her family. Jhanak boldly tells her she never called anyone for help — and she will fight her own battles. Ayush steps in to defend Jhanak, escalating Mishti’s frustration even more.
Meanwhile, Sanjhbati questions Rishi: What about Aditi? What about your marriage? Do you still love Aditi?
Rishi’s silence speaks louder than words. He is confused — torn between responsibility and buried emotions.
