Mangal carefully places Kusum’s jewellery back into her locked locker, secures the food cupboard, and hides the keys beneath the bed—unaware that Neel is quietly watching every move she makes. Once Mangal leaves to attend to her chores, Kusum returns home. Mangal offers her a glass of water and informs her that her jewellery has arrived safely and is kept in the locker. Kusum, however, expresses concern about keeping such valuable items at home and suggests depositing them in the bank. Mangal reassures her that they can do it the next day. Just then, Sowmya enters, and Kusum says she’ll handle it herself tomorrow. Watching them, Sowmya thinks it won’t be easy to erase Kusum’s affection for Mangal.
That night, while everyone is asleep, Neel sneaks into the room and steals the jewellery from the locker. Ishana wakes up to get some water and senses something unusual, feeling as though someone is inside the grandparents’ room. When she goes to check, Neel quickly hides from her. After she leaves, he slips away unnoticed.
The next morning, Kusum calls everyone together and announces in distress that her jewellery has been stolen. Panic spreads through the house as everyone wonders how the theft occurred. Just then, Neel walks in and dismissively asks why there’s so much commotion so early in the morning. Ishana tells Mangal that she woke up in the night and sensed someone in the grandparents’ room, fearing her suspicion was right. Neel immediately argues with her, but Adit steps in and tells them to stop. With tears in her eyes, Kusum tells Adit that it was her wedding jewellery. Adit insists they search the entire house. Neel, nervous, worries that if anyone finds the jewellery on him, they will never forgive him.
After searching, nothing is found. Adit says he’ll call the police and file a report. Just then, Neel removes his coat, and an earring falls out. Kusum notices it instantly. Neel quickly grabs it and hides it, pretending nothing happened. Realizing the situation could escalate, Kusum suddenly stops Adit and insists there’s no need to call the police. She claims that she actually placed the jewellery in the bank locker earlier that morning and must have forgotten to mention it. Mangal questions her, saying she didn’t see her leave the house, but Kusum insists she did and ends the discussion, asking everyone to drop the matter. Before leaving, she gives Neel a sharp, knowing look.
Later, Kusum confronts Neel privately. Furious yet heartbroken, she scolds him for committing theft in his own home. Neel breaks down, falls at her feet, and tearfully lies that he only stole the jewellery to pay for his mother’s medical treatment. He pleads for her understanding. Kusum says he should have asked them for help instead of stealing. Neel insists no one would have believed him and begs for forgiveness, promising never to repeat his mistake. Moved but disappointed, Kusum tells him his heart may be in the right place, but his actions were wrong. She reminds him that he can always ask the family for anything he needs. Outside the room, Sowmya overhears everything and realizes Kusum is protecting Neel. She smirks, thinking this is the perfect opportunity to create more trouble.
While doing laundry later, Mangal finds a slip in Neel’s jeans showing that he received ₹3 lakhs from the jeweller—dated that very day. Shocked, she understands that Neel truly stole the jewellery and that Kusum is covering up for him. When Mangal confronts Neel with the receipt, Adit demands to know what’s going on. Mangal accuses Neel of selling the stolen jewellery, but Kusum immediately steps in, telling Mangal to stop blaming Neel.
Precap: Determined to exact revenge on Mangal, Sowmya hatches a deceitful plan using Neel as her pawn. She notices that Neel has carelessly scattered a few items near the couch and instantly decides to use the situation to her advantage. With a cunning smirk, Sowmya deliberately steps on those objects and dramatically falls, pretending to be in pain. The Saxena family rushes her to the hospital, visibly alarmed. Adit, tense and worried, turns to Mangal and Kusum, demanding to know who left those things scattered on the floor. Neel tries to confess the truth, but Mangal quickly interrupts him, taking the blame away and asserting firmly that Sowmya herself placed them there. Adit, filled with anger and suspicion, confronts Mangal and accuses her of intentionally causing harm. His voice sharpens as he warns that if anything happens to his unborn child, he will not forgive her.
