The Episode starts with tension between Jhanak and Rishi as they walk out of the education minister’s office. Jhanak confronts him, asking bluntly why it even matters to him if Aayush is her close friend. Rishi, visibly irritated, taunts her, saying she should focus on making friends instead of studying. His words carry a hint of jealousy as he adds that not every man who helps her has good intentions. When Jhanak questions why she should reject Aayush’s help, he fires back, asking why it bothers her so much if he cares. She challenges him, demanding to know what exactly their relationship is that gives him the right to interfere. Rishi falls silent for a moment, his eyes softening as flashes of their secret marriage cross his mind. He finally says, almost in a whisper, that she knows what their relationship is.
Jhanak looks away and replies firmly that she doesn’t — and even if she does, it doesn’t matter. She points out that it never bothers her when he spends time with Aditi. Rishi admits bitterly that he’s not as “mahaan” as her. He tells her to concentrate on her studies, promising that he won’t let anyone get in the way of her education. Then, in a moment of frustration, he says he’ll personally keep an eye on her from now on. Jhanak bursts into laughter, teasing him that he must have a lot of free time if he’s planning to spy on her. Her laughter disarms him, and she playfully accuses him of being jealous. Rishi denies it, but Jhanak keeps teasing until he blurts out that he doesn’t even understand why he feels this way about her. Their eyes lock for a long, silent moment — an unspoken connection neither of them is ready to admit. Breaking the moment, Jhanak reminds him that the education minister is waiting for her.
Meanwhile, back home, Putul tries to call Jhanak but gets no answer. She grows worried and tells Aditi and Neelu about her concern. Neelu mocks her, saying she’s acting as if Jhanak is family, while they’re only worried about Mishti. Putul fires back that they only care about Mishti because she’s “one of them,” while Jhanak has no one in Kolkata. Aditi loses her temper, accusing Jhanak of ruining her life. Putul defends Jhanak, saying Aditi’s insecurity is her own problem, not Jhanak’s fault. Neelu sides with Aditi, taunting Putul about her failed marriage. Hurt, Putul warns them to stop dragging her into their bitterness and walks away. Aditi, fuming, declares that she’ll leave the house if Jhanak ever comes there.
At the education minister’s office, Jhanak thanks the minister for helping her secure the hostel room. The minister warmly tells her to contact her anytime if she faces more trouble and asks who accompanied her. Jhanak introduces Rishi as her local guardian. The minister calls him in and asks for the full report. Rishi explains that certain influential people tried to stop Jhanak from studying in Kolkata. The minister says she wants all the details, but Jhanak insists she doesn’t suspect anyone — she just wants to focus on her studies. Rishi promises to file a formal investigation report soon.
Meanwhile, Mishti returns home and reveals that Jhanak’s protest made the news and that Rishi was seen helping her. Aditi, shocked and anxious, realizes that Rishi even took Jhanak to the education minister in his car. Mishti confirms it, saying Jhanak got her hostel room because of the minister’s intervention. Aditi fumes, demanding to know why Rishi is so involved in Jhanak’s affairs. Putul steps in, saying Aditi’s insecurity is showing. Aditi warns her to stay out of it, but Putul stands firm, saying she’ll always support Jhanak because she’s alone. Tanushri tells her to stop siding with outsiders, but Putul walks off, tired of their accusations.
Back at the office, the education minister asks Jhanak about her family. Jhanak tells her softly that her mother is no more and her father never accepted her. The minister encourages her to become a good doctor and make her mother proud. Jhanak nods with quiet determination.
Precap: Aditi angrily confronts Rishi, demanding to know why he keeps helping Jhanak. Rishi replies that it was Aditi’s own parents who caused Jhanak’s problems. Aditi, hurt and furious, asks if she should just leave the house instead.
