Shashwat says he lost the diamond, but Pihu encourages him to focus on new beginnings, as the past has already taught them lessons. Raj didi asks Shashwat to rest and offers to cook food, but when Ishani insists, Raj didi still takes the responsibility and goes inside.
Meanwhile, Anurag recalls Ishani telling him she wants to stay with Pihu for a few days. When his mother asks why he skipped college, he rests his head on her lap and admits he doesn’t feel like going. She suggests he must be missing Ishani. Anurag confesses that Ishani went to the Senguptas despite how they once treated her. His mother explains that Ishani didn’t go there for Shashwat but out of humanity, reminding Anurag not to expect her responsibilities to revolve only around him. Though Anurag admits he understands, he shares how deeply he misses her. His mother reassures him that Ishani must miss him too and urges him to give her the freedom to make her own choices. While Anurag trusts Ishani, he feels hurt that Shashwat doesn’t deserve her kindness.
Later, Shashwat asks Ishani to speak with him privately. After Pihu leaves, he tells Ishani he won’t justify his past actions, admitting he always valued material things over humanity. He recalls his love for Suhasini, who brought him happiness and gave him Yash and Pihu. But after her death, darkness took over his life. Though he had affairs, none filled his emptiness. Shocked, Ishani listens as he reveals Raj didi advised him to remarry for his children’s sake, which is why he married Ishani.
At the same time, Anurag’s mother reminds him that he too once helped Shashwat when he admitted him to the hospital, proving he has compassion for him. She urges Anurag not to forget that Ishani lived as the Senguptas’ daughter-in-law.
Shashwat then admits he could never give Ishani Suhasini’s place. He became arrogant and egoistic after Suhasini’s death and turned into a devil when he saw Ishani and Anurag together. Ishani recalls the torture he put her through. With regret, Shashwat acknowledges he knew he was wrong, praises Ishani for helping despite the injustice, and admits she never deserved the insults she suffered.
