Uday pressures the intoxicated Ved to sign some papers, brushing off Ved’s confused questions about what they are. In his drunken state, Ved signs the wedding registry. The crowd erupts in celebration and begins dancing. A heartbroken Aarti, seeing Ved unconscious, prepares to leave. When Padma calls to ask if she met the informant, Aarti replies through tears that she was only called there to be insulted and ends the call.
Meanwhile, Bhajan watches Aarti leave, noting she won’t make it home. Raghav hands the signed papers to Kali, who thanks him. He asks when she will return the favor, and Kali reveals her plan: Aarti will be attacked, Ved will rescue her, and a new story will begin. As Aarti walks alone, goons follow her, reporting to Bhajan, who orders them only to observe and not touch her yet.
Kali throws water on Ved’s face to wake him. When he mutters his love for Aarti, she scolds him. Raghav warns Kali to focus on the plan. Kali then manipulates Ved, telling him Aarti’s life is in danger and he must save her. As a bewildered Ved stumbles off, Mehek questions Kali, who dramatically claims her husband is abandoning her.
The goons attack Anjali, but Ved arrives and fights them off. In the struggle, a goon pulls a gun on Aarti, but Ved, despite his intoxication, intervenes and is struck on the head, knocking him unconscious. Aarti is left worried for him.
Kali, feigning tears, calculates that Ved will remember nothing of the night and that Aarti’s values will compel her to care for him. She vows to ruin Aarti’s dignity to reclaim Ved. When Aarti calls to say Ved is unresponsive, Kali coldly tells her to keep him and cuts the call, confident the final phase of her plan is in motion.
Aarti takes Ved home, facing immediate backlash from her family. Ganesh warns her not to break Kali’s home and demands Ved be returned first thing in the morning. Padma alone expresses faith in Aarti’s character.
At Ved’s home, Kali refuses to eat, theatrically professing jealousy that her husband is with another woman. When called a lunatic, she admits to her madness. Raghav arrives and gives her the signed papers, solidifying her deceptive victory.
Precap: Raghav calls Aarti, telling her that he is coming to take her and her mother home. Overjoyed, Aarti excitedly shares the news with Pankaj and leaves, ignoring his warning.
