Akshat kicks off the balloon-popping game by inviting Kusum to go first. Meanwhile, Sowmya secretly worries, hoping Kusum doesn’t get the tampered balloon she rigged with glass shards, fearing Mangal would investigate if anything went wrong. Kusum pops her balloon and draws a chit asking her to speak about her favorite person. With heartfelt pride, she talks about Adit, reflecting on how some bonds go deeper than blood, and how their loss brings immense pain. As she speaks, Kusum recalls Sowmya blaming Mangal for Sudesh’s death, leading everyone to think she’s referring to Sudesh, especially as Sowmya adjusts the garland on his photo—but in truth, Kusum means Mangal.
The game continues with Mangal’s turn. She pops her balloon and is asked to sing for the birthday girl. Mangal’s emotional song moves everyone, while Sowmya grows increasingly anxious, unsure where her tampered balloon has gone. Kusum is touched by Mangal’s gesture, and Pratima wonders why Mangal gives so much importance to her ex-mother-in-law.
Next, Kapil pops his balloon and is asked to dance with his favorite person. Pratima hopes he’ll choose Mangal, but Kapil picks Akshat, and they share a lighthearted dance. Akshat then announces only one person is left—Sowmya.
When it’s Sowmya’s turn, Adit encourages her, but she feigns fear of the sound. Mangal offers to help and pops the balloon herself. In Sowmya’s imagination, her plan disastrously backfires: the hidden glass shards injure her own hand, causing suspicion and confrontation from the family. But she snaps out of her daydream—none of it has happened yet.
In reality, Sowmya pops a regular balloon and draws a chit, still worried about her missing trap. Stepping outside, she finds the untouched tampered balloon with the glass shards. Pratima confronts her, revealing she saw Sowmya’s attempt to harm Mangal and threatens to expose her.
Meanwhile, Adit invites Kusum to try the cake Sowmya baked, but Kusum questions the need for it. As everyone gathers for cake-cutting, Mangal enters the kitchen, smells something odd, and discovers eggshells—realizing the cake contains egg. Just as Adit is about to feed Kusum, Mangal stops him, revealing the truth. Shocked, Adit demands an explanation from Sowmya, who nervously claims she forgot, prompting Adit to scold her for her carelessness.
Precap: Pratima tells Kapil, “Adit was never worthy of Mangal—that’s why they’re apart. You should make Mangal your life partner.” Mangal, overhearing this conversation, is left in shock.
