Gangadhar and Sumati are shocked and surprised when Kanchan reveals that Neel would become a ghar jamai (live-in son-in-law) after marriage. Kanchanchan as them why they look surprised, as if they were unaware of Neel becoming a ghar jamai. Sumati, furious, tells Kanchan to stop, insisting that Neel would never agree to such a thing. Kanchan drops a bombshell that Neel has already agreed and just hasn’t informed his parents yet. She adds that Riddhi, being used to a luxurious life, cannot adjust to Gangadhar’s modest household.
Riddhi, sensing tension, tries to divert attention and asks the priest to continue the wedding rituals. But Sumati demands he stop, saying the wedding will not proceed until everything is clear. She asks Neel to deny Kanchan’s claim, but he remains silent. Kanchan smirks, telling Sumati to stop pretending, arguing that Neel becoming ghar jamai benefits his family. Gangadhar, disturbed, takes Neel inside to talk privately, followed by Sumati and Manjari, while Kanchan watches with satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Parameswari is anxious, insisting that Riddhi’s wedding must happen no matter what. Riddhi reassures her, but Parameswari panics. As Pratham rushes to call a doctor, Kanchan accuses Parameswari of faking it. Enraged, Parameswari grabs Kanchan by the throat, accusing her of deliberately bringing up the ghar jamai issue to sabotage the wedding. Riddhi steps in to rescue Kanchan, who defends herself, claiming it wasn’t intentional. Surprisingly, Riddhi believes her.
Inside, Gangadhar demands answers from Neel, while Sumati, desperate, threatens to die if he doesn’t speak up. Finally, Neel confesses—he has agreed to be Kanchan’s ghar jamai. In shock, Gangadhar slaps him, reminding him of his responsibilities to the family. Sumati fears someone is blackmailing Neel, but Gangadhar feels betrayed. However, Sumati refuses to believe Neel would leave them for money and insists on going to confront Kanchan.
Back at the wedding venue, Parameswari anxiously asks for Neel. Riddhi assures her he will return, but Kanchan taunts her, saying Neel has left with his parents. She fake-cries, questioning what will happen to Riddhi now. Just then, Sumati arrives with Neel, who declares he won’t abandon Riddhi.
Gangadhar, outraged, announces that Neel has chosen to go against his family and is no longer their son. Sumati refuses to accept this, but Gangadhar insists Neel has already chosen his path. Heartbroken, he takes Sumati and leaves, with Manjari following.
Neel, wiping his tears, tells the priest to resume the wedding. Kanchan objects, saying a marriage cannot happen without parents’ blessings. But Neel, determined, takes Riddhi to the mandap and declares he will perform his own putradaan (the ritual where a father gives away his daughter). Kanchan is left in shock as the priest instructs Neel to apply vermilion on Riddhi’s forehead, sealing their union.
Precap: After marriage, Neel reaches his parent’s house for their blessings. Sumati emotionally says that she knew he would chose them instead of Riddhi, but stands shocked seeing Riddhi with him.
