Reports indicate that Deepika injured her upper back during an incident that occurred on June 19. According to Etimes, the accident happened while filming a dream sequence where her character was being congratulated. During the shoot, a large and heavy plywood sheet fell on Deepika due to strong winds, causing significant injury to her back.
Known for her role in Diya Aur Baati Hum, Deepika screamed in pain following the accident. Naman, a co-worker, rushed to assist her on set. For immediate relief, the crew obtained an ice pack from a nearby kids’ dance show set. Though Deepika managed to shoot some scenes, she eventually had to leave the set due to the unbearable pain.
