Seasoned actress Sangita Ghosh is gearing up for a thrilling return to the small screen. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sangita confirmed the exciting news and shared details about her new character.
It was recently reported that Sangita Ghosh will be part of a new show on Sun TV, which centers around a rural-themed storyline. Confirming the news, Sangita shared, “Yes, I am doing a new show on the channel.”
When asked what drew her to this project for her return, Sangita explained, “I was looking for an apt opportunity to come back and wanted to foray into something unusual. I haven’t done a daily soap with a rural background, and that’s the unique selling point of the project.”
Discussing her role in the new show, Sangita said, “In my last show, I played a protagonist, and in this show, I’ll be the antagonist. It is a good project with a prominent character and producers whom I have known over the years. Since all the boxes were checked, I decided to take it up.”
Sangita Ghosh’s last major role was in “Swarn Ghar,” where she starred opposite Ronit Roy. The show, which depicted the struggles of an elderly couple abandoned by their sons, received rave reviews, and Ghosh’s performance was highly praised by both critics and audiences.
