Actor Vishal Kotian joins TV show ‘Maitree’; Talks about venturing beyond television
Actor Vishal Kotian, renowned for his appearances in popular shows like Akbar Ka Bal Birbal and Aisa Des Hai Mera, has recently joined the cast of the show Maitree for a cameo role. His entry into the show promises to introduce captivating twists and turns, and Vishal is exhilarated about this opportunity.
Expressing his excitement in a recent interview, Vishal revealed, “I am delighted to be playing a cameo in the show, portraying the character named Bajrangi. While there may be some similarities to Salman Khan’s role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, my character is a devout follower of Lord Hanuman and involves a significant amount of action in the storyline. The amalgamation of these elements compelled me to take up this role as it appeared to be immensely intriguing. Additionally, I had a few days’ gap between shooting for a Marathi film and a web show, making it the perfect timing to undertake this small project.”
Vishal’s previous appearance was on the reality show Bigg Boss 15, and it has been over a year and a half since he last worked on a TV project. When asked about the reason behind this hiatus, he explained, “Television has been my mainstay for numerous years, and I have no intention of abandoning it. However, with the flourishing of the OTT industry, I have developed a desire to explore diverse avenues. I aspire to work in films and web shows. When committing to a long-term TV project, it becomes challenging to undertake other endeavors in the interim. Hence, I am presently steering clear of television. Nevertheless, whenever captivating cameos or roles come my way, I am more than happy to embrace them. I am an individual who continues to participate in theater whenever possible, showcasing my unwavering passion for acting across various mediums.”
