Rakhi Sawant on ending her case against Mika Singh; says, “I don’t want to die with the burden of clashes with people”
Rakhi Sawant has made headlines once again, this time for her decision to forgive Mika Singh, against whom she had previously filed a case. On June 15, the Bombay High Court quashed the first information report (FIR) and chargesheet filed by Rakhi in 2006, alleging molestation by singer Mika Singh.
In a recent interview, Rakhi expressed, “Mika has become my well-wisher now. He calls me up and talks to me very nicely. How long will we continue fighting? I don’t want to carry the burden of conflicts with people throughout my life. I want to move forward.”
In a one-page affidavit, Advocate Ayush Pasbola, representing Rakhi Sawant, stated, “Based on my complaint dated June 11, 2006, the Oshiwara police station had registered an FIR against the petitioners for offenses punishable under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) read with 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. Subsequently, the petitioners and I have amicably resolved all our differences and realized that the entire dispute arose due to misunderstanding and misconception on our part.”
Rakhi’s decision to let go of the legal battle indeed signifies her desire to move forward in life and not carry the burden of past conflicts.
