It started with confusion Part 1

Pratha and her sister Mahek went shopping.While walking Pratha bumped into a guy.He was Rishab.

Pratha got irritated.

Pratha:Don’t you have eyes?Can’t you walk properly?

Rishab:I did’nt understand one thing?How are eyes related to walking properly?For walking properly we need legs,not eyes.Right?

Pratha frowned.

Pratha:Stop it.You have eyes.So you must have seen me coming your way.Then why did you bump into me?

Rishab:Hey…you also have eyes.You also must have seen me.Why did you collide with me?

Pratha got embarrassed.

Pratha:I did not notice you.Because I was looking at the clothes over here.

Rishab:The same way even I did not notice you.

Mahek was stunned to see them fight.

Mahek:Oh no…guys..please stop fighting and arguing.

Pratha:But didi…

Mahek:For such a silly thing you are arguing.When you walk sometimes it happens.Don’t make it a big issue.

Pratha:Ya didi..

Rishab:Your didi is right.I also over reacted.I am sorry.

Pratha:I am also sorry.I only started it fight.I could have just said ‘sorry’ instead of blaming you.

Rishab:Anyways..you said ‘sorry’.The matter is over.

She smiled.

Mahek:Come with me.We will go to the next section.

Pratha:Ok didi.

Pratha went with Mahek.

Mahek and Pratha went for a birthday party.

There Pratha was surprised to see Rishab.He also saw her there and got surprised.

Pratha/Rishab:You?

Pratha:I am surprised that we both met again as if you were following me.

Rishab:Are you not following me to take revenge on me?

They both burst into laughter.

Pratha:Seriously how come you are here?

Rishab:The birthday baby’s uncle is my school friend.He invited me here.

Pratha:We are their relatives.

Rishab:That’s surprising.Anyways nice to meet you again.Carry on..

He began to move away.Suddenly Pratha held his hand.He looked at him.

Pratha:You did not say your name.

Mahek who came there saw Pratha holding Rishab’s hand.

Rishab:I forgot to introduce myself.I am Rishab Gujral.

Pratha:I am Pratha Khanna.

Suddenly Pratha realized that she was still holding Rishab’s hand.Immediately she took her hand off him.

Pratha:Sorry.

Rishab:It’s alright.Enjoy the party.

Rishab walked away.Mahek went near Pratha.

Mahek:Why were you holding his hand as if you knew him before?

Pratha:Come on didi.I simply held his hand while talking.You remember him?

Mahek:Of course.You fought with him only that day.

Pratha smiled.

Rishab’s mother Seema told Rishab:Rishab,I have found a girl for you.

Rishab:Mom…not again.

Seema:You keep quiet.Don’t tell me that you can love only your country.You are an Army officer.Keep loving your country.But now it’s time for you to love a woman also.

Rishab:I love a woman..you.

Seema:That’s not enough.You have to get married and love your wife.Tomorrow go to the cafe near by India today office.There the girl will come in a white top.

Rishab:Ok mom.I will go and meet her.You did not tell me her name.

Seema:You will meet her tomorrow.She herself will tell you her name.She also does’nt know who the boy is.Your name is not revealed to her.

He smiled.

Rishab went to the cafe.He looked at the girls there.There he saw a girl in white top.His face blossomed seeing her.It was Pratha.He went near Pratha.

Rishab:Hi Pratha…I am the boy you are waiting for.

Pratha was stunned:You are the boy?

Rishab smiled:Yes.

Pratha:You are ready for the marriage?

Rishab smiled.

Rishab:When mom told me about the proposal,I was hesitant.But now I am ready for the wedding.

Rishab said in his mind:I don’t know why…knowing that the girl is you,I feel an unknown happiness.

Pratha became dull.

Rishab:Are you fine with this alliance?

Pratha:Didi should take the decision.

Rishab thought:Pratha loves her sister so much that she wants her sister’s approval to marry me.

Mahek came out of the washroom.She was stunned to see Rishab.

Pratha:Didi,he is the boy.

Mahek was stunned:What?

Pratha:Yes didi.

Rishab:Pratha wants you to take a decision.What is your decision?

Mahek thought:I have no other choice.I have to say ‘yes’.

Mahek:I am fine with this alliance.

Rishab became happy while Pratha became sad.

Pratha thought:Why I am not able to be happy knowing that didi’s marriage is fixed with Rishab?

Rishab noticed that Mahek was also in a white top.

Rishab:Both the sisters are same in dressing also.Both have worn white top.

Mahek and Pratha smiled.

Pratha:Sometimes we wear the same colour dress.

Rishab smiled.

Rishab got a phone call.

Rishab:Excuse me..I have an important call.I have to leave for my work.

Pratha:Ok.Bye.

Rishab:Bye.

Rishab left.

Rishab got ready for the engagement.When he reached the venue,his eyes searched for Pratha.He saw Pratha in a red gown.He could not take his eyes off her.

Rishab thought:You have a magical power to pull me towards you.Otherwise how did you make an unromantic guy like me to be eager to marry you?

Seema:Let us start the ring ceremony.The to be bride should come and stand near the to be bride groom.

Rishab smiled thinking that Pratha would come and stand near him.

Mahek came and stood near him.Rishab was confused seeing her near him.

Rishab thought:Why is Mahek standing near me instead of Pratha?

Seema:You both exchange rings now.

Rishab was stunned.

Rishab:Why?

Seema:Have you gone crazy Rishab?You are the to be bride groom and and Mahek is going to be your fiancee.So you both should exchange rings.Right?

Rishab was shocked.

He thought:Mahek is my fiancee?

Suddenly he remembered Mahek wearing white top at the cafe.

He thought:That means Mahek was the girl chosen by mom and seeing Pratha also in the white top I mistook her for the girl who was chosen by mom.Oh my God!What will I do now?
