Balika Vadhu fame Neha Marda gets pregnant after 10 years of marriage; says, “I am enjoying this beautiful phase of pregnancy”
Neha Marda of Balika Vadhu fame is all set to become a mother, 10 years after she tied the knot with Patna-based businessman Ayushman Agrawal. She talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “I am in the second trimester and the baby is due sometime in May.”
The actress, who was last seen in Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti, had earlier rejected the reports about her pregnancy. When asked about it, she said, “I didn’t have any option but to deny it, as I hadn’t completed three months. Also, my family is too protective of me and they wanted me to talk about it only after I entered the second trimester.”
Upon being asked if she is superstitious, she replies, “A lot comes along when you live in a joint family. I can’t decide everything on my own because they are more experienced. I am not superstitious but there is no harm in being cautious (smiles). Call me old school, but I believe in following customs and traditions. I have seen my mom and mother-in-law follow them, too. I am taking my pregnancy as any other beautiful phase in my life. I am excited to know that I am creating a miracle within me in the form of my baby, who grows every day.”
Talking about getting pregnant in her mid-30s, she says, “My profession has helped me personally. I have always taken care of my diet and health throughout my career. I have been a regular with yoga and conscious about the food I ate. There is no denying that one is fitter and more energetic in their 20s as opposed to the 30s. I am extra careful as I go about my pregnancy since I know that age is not on my side. I also experience aversions and severe back pain, which may not be related to my age. I get tired easily. However, I am enjoying this laziness because I have been working since the age of 17. This is the first time ever, I am chilling and enjoying.”
