Sofia Hayat supports Urfi Javed for her fashion choices; says, “I just think people are hypocritical against women”
Urfi Javed’s fashion choices have always been a topic of discussion on social media. Urfi who is now used to the mixed reactions he receives on her social media posts has also gotten into spats with many celebrities.
Bigg Boss fame Sofia Hayat recently shared her views on Urfi’s fashion choices during an interview with BT and said, “I just think people are hypocritical against women.”
She further added, “Urfi is either doing this to make a lot of money because that’s the mentality in Bollywood or she just wants to get attention and knows that showing skin works. I have to say though, when Indian media uses the words topless, well, it’s not true. Topless would mean showing your bare br*asts, so the media itself is also responsible for the titillation of young Indian male minds.”
“In India, money, and fame are prized over morality. When I was in Bigg Boss…I chose to not be at the finale because I wanted to show my morals were stronger than wanting more fame and money. Urfi has not shown her body pornographically, and if some men are disgusted because they view women’s nudity as shameful, then it’s their problem. I’m not for or against Urfi. If I wear bikinis on Instagram I get more hits and more media attention.”
Sofia who is currently practicing spirituality talked about the spiritual aspect of it and said, “People are obsessed with the body. People should be focused on what’s inside because when you allow the physical appearance to be your main focus of attention and not give the same attention to the soul, then you are just a corpse or a puppet doing what you think will please others and give you attention and money. We are not given life for this. Rather we are here to fully know ourselves. I love being naked, it’s the natural state of God. We should stop judging women but Urfi has to be careful else she might fall prey to Bollywood’s unwanted advances.”
