Imlie fame Sumbul Toqueer’s father Touqueer Khan opens up on his recent visit to the Bigg Boss house

Sumbul Touqueer Khan, who is currently seen in Bigg Boss 16 recently received a booster dose from her father. Sumbul seemed to be a little lost. Almost all the contestants especially Tina Datta were questioning her growing closeness with Shalin Bhanot.

The latest episode of Bigg Boss 16 witnessed, Sumbul’s father Touqeer Hasan Khan coming on the show and speaking to his daughter advising her to maintain a distance from Shalin and Tina.

Now in a recent interview with BT, Toqueer opened up about it and said, “My daughter is not realizing that the people she is trusting are actually talking about her behind her back. She was getting a lot of messages from audiences too, and I was being questioned why I let my 18-year-old daughter get on to such a reality show which is difficult. So I wanted her to be alert about Shalin and Tina and that’s why I went on the weekend episode.”

He is still upset with Shalin and Tina for the way they have treated Sumbul. He said, “Sumbul is very innocent and young. Instead of Shalin and Tina clarifying things with Sumbul regarding the problem they had, they went ahead and discussed it with the entire house, which made her look bad. Sumbul is someone who is carefree, hugs people, and is sweet to all. They took that in a wrong way.”

Talking about Sumbul’s bond with Shalin, he said, “She is just 18 and till the time she was 14, she was an introvert. She has grown up with me and I have been both, her father and mother. She doesn’t have any such feelings that people think. When I don’t give her time and attention, she behaves the same with me too. So that’s what she is doing with Shalin. That’s her friendship which everyone is misinterpreting. That’s why I had to go on the show to alert her about it. But henceforth, I want her to tackle her problems by herself and learn from her experiences.”

He added, “Sumbul has only seen good and positive things and people around her. She doesn’t really know how the world functions. I am her only parent and after me, there is no one to take care of her. I want Sumbul to go through hardships and certain experiences that will make her ready for the outside world. And I want every girl to get inspired by her and pursue their own dreams.”
