Actor Vipul Roy shares his feelings about being a father; says, “It felt surreal when I held my baby in my arms for the first time”
Actor Vipul Roy and Melis Atici were recently blessed with a baby girl on September 8. Vipul is ecstatic about it. The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared that the feeling is slowly sinking in.
He said, “Both of us are extremely happy to welcome our child into this world. At first, I couldn’t believe that I had become a father! It’s after she started crying that it hit me that we now have a little one in our family. I can’t explain that feeling in words.”
Vipul was with his wife throughout the delivery. He said, “I was allowed to be in the room where Melis was delivering. I was given a chance to pull out my baby myself, holding her head, and I also cut the umbilical cord. It felt so good that I did it myself and held my baby girl in my arms for the first time. It was surreal.”
Talking about the celebrations at home, Vipul added, “The entire room was decorated with pink as the theme. We are in the process of buying toys and other things for our little one. My entire family is here. I have my parents and sister with us, who will be helping us out in the initial days of taking care of the baby. I am prepared for all the sleepless nights!”
For the unversed, Vipul and Melis has always been in a long-distance relationship owing to their jobs. Melis is based in San Francisco, USA, and runs an IT company. Upon being asked how the two will manage, Vipul said, “I have to be here because of my work. Melis and I haven’t decided anything yet. Right now, we are all in Mumbai and celebrating.”
