Disha Vakani has been missing from the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since 2017. The makers of the show have been waiting for her return however, it didn’t happen. Disha recently had her second baby which further reduces the likeliness of her returning to the show.
The makers of TMKOC have been looking for a replacement for the role of Daya Ben and were considering a few names including actors like Aishwarya Sakhuja and Rakhi Vijan. Now according to the latest reports actress Kajal Pisal has been locked in for the role.
Kajal who was last seen on the show Sirf Tum is expected to start shooting tentatively from next month.
Along with Sirf Tum, Kajal is also known for her role in shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Naagin 5 and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.
Though there has been no official confirmation on the news, the production house confirmed that there are indeed considering many actresses for the role but nothing had been finalized yet.
