Pavitra Rishta fame Kanishka Soni has decided to quit showbiz in India. During a recent interview, the actress shared that daily soaps have become very uncertain. She also shared that Bollywood is full of nepotism and hence she has decided to move abroad.
She said, “I have enjoyed being part of a number of TV shows, music videos, and many commercials back in India. I had many offers in hand but later when I experienced that there is no guarantee of a TV show even running for 3 months, and you have to once again start from scratch. I lost trust in the Indian TV industry. I was so disturbed reading about nepotism in Bollywood so finally, I decided to pursue a career here in Hollywood. In fact, I had one TV fiction and also a digital series. But I was so confused that I refused.”
Kanishka, who is known for her role in TV shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, and Devi Adi Parashakti has bagged her first Hollywood project.
“I’m really blessed that finally I’m living my dreams and got my first project. I’m essaying a beautiful character in a film directed by a popular director here in Canada, and the name of the project is ‘Choice Is Yours’, and working on this project has boosted my confidence that I will do good ahead.”
Kanishka is also a singer and has performed with well-known singers like Harrdy Sandhu and the late Sidhu Moosewala.
