Scene 1
The lawyer stops Sid in the court and says your Dadu sent a message that whatever happens today, you must listen silently. There will be a witness here but don’t say anything in front of that person. Sid asks why? The lawyer says I don’t know but he wants you to promise to remain silent. Mithai comes there and thinks I am sorry Sid. Girish comes to Sid and says I will get a good lawyer for you. Sid says I don’t need your help.
The court hearing starts, and the opponent’s lawyer says Sid should be punished. Sid’s lawyer says I have something to show, it will show that Sid is innocent. She calls Mithai as a witness. Sid looks on. The lawyer asks Mithai what she wants to say? Mithai is stressed and takes an oath that she will tell the truth only. Mithai thinks I am sorry God. Mithai tells the court that Sid lied about being in the shop at that time because.. he wanted to protect me. The judge asks what do you mean? Mithai says I’m ashamed to say this but the time when the poisoning incident happened, the night before Sid was with me. All are shocked. Mithai says he was with me and when we reached the shop, the poisoning incident had already happened. The lawyer asks where were you with Sid? Mithai says Sid and I went out of the house around 8 PM and we spent the night together in a hotel. She gives the hotel and room numbers also. All are shocked. Abha says she is shameless. Apeksha thinks how is this possible? The lawyer presents the hotel receipt. The flashback shows how Dadu got the fake receipts made. The lawyer thanks her and says she is ashamed so please let her go. The opponent’s lawyer says I want to question her. He asks Mithai if she has a witness to her affair with Sid? Mithai says I can’t tell you about my affair, it’s personal. The lawyer says he is character assassinating her. Sid’s lawyer says the witness presented by the opponent is not employed at Sid’s shop, he was hired by someone to temper with the sweets. She shows the list of employees and calls a senior worker there who says that Sid didn’t temper with the sweets. The judge calls Mithai into the witness box again, he asks Mithai if she claims her right then she has a relationship with Sid? She says yes, we love each other. Sid is shocked. The judge says we want proof of that. Girish says if she is insulting us publicly? The judge says we have to investigate about your relationship. Sid says she is lying. Mithai says he is shy and didn’t want anyone to know about our relationship. She silently pleads with Sid to remain silent. The opponent’s lawyer says I am sure Mithai is lying. I will prove that this story was made to save Sid. He asks Mithai you also went to the police station to say you mixed poison in the sweets, why? Mithai says I love him so I tried to lie and save him. She says he is my lover so I would do anything for him. Sid shouts she is lying. Mithai says don’t hide our love anymore. She glares at him to remain silent. The opponent’s lawyer says I want to test their love. He says I will ask them 5 questions about each other, it will show if they love each other or not. He asks them to write birth dates, their favorite color, food, sweets, their passion in life, and their dreams. Mithai says that’s all? She starts writing her answers. Sid starts writing too. Abha says they will fail this result. Pramod says they will fail in this test. The lawyer takes their answers and looks on.
