Vinny Arora and Dheeraj Dhoopar, who tied the knot in 2016, are now all set to embrace parenthood for the first time. The couple is expecting their first child in August.
Talking about it during an interview with BT, Vinny said, “We didn’t plan on going the family way, but we felt that the time was right to enter a new phase in our life. We certainly didn’t want a baby during the lockdown, because we didn’t want to bring a baby into a world of fear and uncertainty. We wanted to be able to celebrate the arrival of our bundle of joy with everyone and not amidst any restrictions.”
She added, “It is surreal. Sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves to affirm that this is really happening. Dheeraj and I have come together so far and it feels magical. I have seen Dheeraj change and evolve over the years from the time we met, got married, to having a baby now. He has changed drastically and only for the better. He understands his responsibilities and has become more loving and caring. This is my favorite time with him because he has become very protective and caring (smiles).”
Dheeraj also added to the conversation and shared, “I feel a lot more responsible towards my family. I need to do so much more now that a new life is going to join us soon. Our pet, Oreo, already changed me as a person. He made me calmer and more affectionate. I want the baby to be healthy and bring joy to our lives.”
When asked about his prep for fatherhood, he said, “It’s like learning on the job (smiles). The fact that I am going to become a father soon needs me to prioritize things in my life. Once my priorities are in place, I feel it will be an easy task to take on the new role. Vinny is a wonderful girl and very mature. She handles everything to the T. I am confident that she will handle everything perfectly, including raising the baby and taking care of me and the house. Vinny is my lucky charm. I am where I am today because of her unconditional support. I am fortunate to have her as my life partner.”
