Colors’ popular show ‘Thapki Pyaar Ki 2’ recently witnessed a major change where the lead actress of the show Jigyasa Singh had to be replaced with actress Prachi Bansal. Jigyasa quit the show due to her health issues leaving a huge responsibility on Prachi’s shoulder.
In a recent interview with India Forums, Prachi talked about it and shared, “To be honest, I didn’t get the time to give it a thought. I wasn’t even ready to give the mock shoot as I wasn’t prepared, things just happened in a jiffy. I came for the mock shoot and from the very next day, I was shooting for the show”.
When asked if she was skeptical to take up the show as it may invite trolls, she replied, “As I said, I didn’t really give it a thought. But, I feel we’re all actors. Jigyasa left the show willingly and if not me, someone else would be playing the role. So, I don’t think I considered it as a reason to be skeptical”.
Talking about dealing with the pressure and trolls during her initial days in the show, Prachi said, “In the beginning, it was definitely difficult. Thapki is a difficult character to pull off given the fact that she stammers. Initially, I used to forget my lines while I concentrated on stammering and making the same look real. On the top of it, when I entered, an elaborated wedding track was in the progress, so it was difficult to sink in so many things that were happening”.
She added, “I broke down several times reading the hate comments. It felt as if I’ve committed a sin by taking up the show. I felt as if I made Jigyasa to quit the show. There were really mean comments. Some would state that I’m not portraying the character perfectly while others would demand Jigyasa’s comeback. It would break my heart. I can understand that the fans love Jigyasa but I felt that they would give me a chance before judging me. All said and done, the situation is better now, as finally the fans have started to accept me and have been showering their love. Now things are smooth and I’m happy”.

Some of the fans are really sick. Don’t they realise that they are ruining their idol’s name by spreading hatred towards another artist?? Pity Prachi. This is yhe her first show as a lead and she is giving her best. It’s fine if you don’t appreciate her work but at least don’t demotivate her. I saw some comments in insta where some people were abusing her looks and skin tone. Seeing those making me to like Prachi more. Prachi you are rocking!! If the show is getting off air, it’s because of the pathetic story line especially the marriage one, not because of Prachi.
