Kapil Sharma is trending on Twitter but for the wrong reasons. This time it’s not for his comic timing or jokes but a controversy related his show.
Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri was recently requested by a fan to promote his upcoming movie The Kashmir Files based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the 1990s. In response to the request he directed a tweet at Kapil and mentioned that he is nobody to decide if he can promote the film on the show.
His tweet read, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producer’s choice whom he wants to invite. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: Vo raja hai hum rank.”

In another tweet, Vivek Agnihotri claimed that the show refused to promote his film because it didn’t have a ‘commercial star’ in its star cast. “They refused to call us on their show because we don’t have big commercial star. #FACT,” read the tweet.
The filmmaker’s Tweet have raged up netizens who are now slamming Kapil and demanding the boycott of The Kapil Sharma Show. This trolling has made Kapil Sharma trend on the Twitter.
In reaction to Vivek’s claims, a user called out Kapil and wrote, “Kapil sharma is circus master of Bollywood. He is not serious about national issues .He is abusing and insulting poor people in the show for making money . No civilised society will allow his hypocracy .He can not understand pain of Genocide .Jai Hind .”
Another user wrote, “Boycott Kapil Sharma show. Anyways… i have said earlier also… this show is worth nothing.”

This is not the first time that Kapil Sharma and his show have been caught in a controversy. Earlier, Kapil got into trouble due to a leaked BTS video featuring Akshay Kumar, leading to rumors of a rift between him and the Bollywood actor. Kapil later issued a clarity on the same however Bachchan Pandey has not been promoted on The Kapil Sharma Show.
