@., I understand your confusion. Since you are younger than me and because I appreciate your commitment to important issues, I’ll try to clear up some misconceptions. You might end up thinking a little differently.

I can also understand your distrust of the USA quite well. They will always try to make some profit for themselves whenever they “help” somewhere. I’m even convinced of that. But do you really think that all this can justify the Russian military attack on a sovereign country?
Is it really in this very way, that Russia is meant to bring “justice“ to a much more democratic country than Russia itself ?!
Just giving this “idea“ a tiny chance is extremely wrong !!!

But you’re right, the medias didn’t do their job properly, at least the media outside of Russia.

As for the media in Russia itself, that’s a completely different story.

They happened to be a very useful tool for Putin, making his propaganda more effective in several ways.

During the years of his regime, he brought TV and all other media under his complete control.
There are known cases of courageous journalists who dared to criticize him. He had them “executed” demonstratively. Just like he did with very important leaders of the opposition.

Of course, he cannot afford to have his crimes and misdeeds known everywhere.

And his media manipulation, isn’t just limited to his own country..

This is also an international information war for him.

Fresh examples:

A few days ago, repeated internet attacks were recorded on the live blog of a well-known Western European newspaper group, which continuously published news about the Russian attack on Ukraine.

Important German media groups and their websites for daily newspapers, magazines and portals were also attacked by several waves of so-called bots (automated malware).

Due to the attacks, the updating of their pages was almost impossible…

Not the first cyber attack, there have already been larger such cases before – with serious consequences. At times, newspapers could only appear in emergency editions.

Pro-Putin trolls and bots were also flooding the comment columns on social media, all these days… such as, the same pro-Putin message appeared about 60 times in 1 minute from “different” users.

This Putin’s strategy is not necessarily new.

All aggressors and expansionists used massive propaganda to fabricate more or less similar excuses for their misdeeds.

Hitler used a propaganda-lie to start World War II.

He staged attacks and raids on his own country and
used them as a pretext for the invasion of Poland, we all know what happened afterwards…

A scheme similar to Putin’s was used many years ago in the Balkan War.
Milošević used the alleged genocide on the Serbian people as a pretext for his war and then committed one of the greatest genocides himself!

Now Putin even states that he wants to denazify Ukraine!!! Like seriously??? He wants to denazify a country that has a president who is Jewish himself ???!!!
Can you imagine? Not to mention that Russia itself is one of the most racist and homophobic countries we know! Do you see the paradox?

It is absolutely clear that there are other reasons behind the attack, only expansionist ones!
When he’s done with Ukraine, do you really think he’ll be happy there and stop? NO, HE WILL NOT! He has been talking about the big tsarist Russia for years. His goal is to completely change the balance of power in Europe to his advantage. And that means WAR! And we all know from history lessons what the war in Europe really means. It means the whole world joins in!!! And that with catastrophic consequences!!!

After World War II we always had wars in the world, even in small parts of Europe, but they never had the expansion potential like this one!

The many parallels between Putin’s attack and Hitler’s attack are terrifying. Their speeches are also shockingly similar.

This man is one of the most dangerous men in history! Megalomania is his greatest drive!

One shouldn’t underestimate him and his intentions!

The world has already made the fatal mistake of underestimating Hitler.
It would be terrible if history were to repeat itself now.

A few days ago he threatened all those countries that “dare“ to back Ukraine with “unprecedented consequences”!!! … Whatever that means !!!
According to his own statement, he’s already put the nuclear forces on alert!

This makes his real intentions clear!
Someone who is genuinely concerned about the genocide, i.e. human life, would not threaten with the annihilation of mankind, don’t you think?
At the moment India seems to be safe from him, but one shouldn’t be dazzled by that!
The man is extremely ungrateful! He simply eliminated his biggest supporters when they no longer wanted to dance to his tune. He has taken down powerful, politically active people just for the fun of it, just to prove his power. Search you tube or other platforms, there are countless documentations that confirm this. There are even former schoolmates who say that he was a nasty bully in schoolyard gangs and a very unpleasant fellow. This paranoid, resentful, inferiority-ridden former KGB crook is terrified of betrayal because he is a traitor himself.

I feel sorry for the Russian people that they had only him as their only option for all these years

That huge country has just military as it’s only strength. The economy is pretty weak.

Don’t be fooled by his self-created image in the media

Putin is definitely not a leader.

The man is a dictator and cold-blooded murderer.
In the real sense of the word.

And you are right @. World politics is really a mess.
But now is not the moment to discuss and speculate what the US’s intentions are. It wasn’t the USA that dropped the bombs on innocent civilians a few days ago, it was Putin.
He is here THE aggressor.
HE HAS TO GO DOWN !!!
