Riya Bhattacharje who is known for her performance in shows like Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, Nath, and Agni Vayu is currently essaying the role of Akriti in the show Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey.
In a recent interview with India Forums, Riya talked about entering the show, and shared, “I think it’s a huge responsibility when a new character enters an established show. The audience’s eyes are on you and you need to exceed the expectations of the audience. So it’s quite a challenge but I love the same.”
When asked how much she relates to the character of Akriti, she said, “The character is a total contrast to what I am in real life. The character is totally calm and composed. But again it’s enjoyable to play something which you are not. That’s what the job of an actor is – to play the character as if you are the one.”
Talking about the feedback she is receiving from the audience Riya shared, “I have been receiving amazing responses from the audience. Fans are really liking the character and the way she dresses. And it’s my first show with Star Plus so I think it’s gonna change things for me,” she concluded.
