Scene 1
Kashi tells Baji that I don’t have an idea how to govern a reign but I have seen women running a family. I think we just need patience and love to govern people. Baji looks on.
Annu tells Radha and Balaji that Baji is trying to convince Kashi that her decision was right. Radha says Baji doesn’t need to give justifications to Kashi, we have to control our son before controlling Kashi. Baji and Kashi come back. Radha asks where did you both go? Baji says I wanted Kashi to hear what people think about our decision. Balaji says I never stopped you from spending time with your wife but today you were asking people around if your father took the right decision just to convince your wife? Were you thinking Kashi was right in thinking that my decision is wrong? You can’t be emotional like this if you want to be a soldier. Baji says it’s not like that. Balaji says if Kashi has an issue with the decision then you can send her to her parent’s house for some days. He leaves from there. Baji and Kashi look on.
Some soldiers are gossiping that Kashi is against her family because of this hanging decision. Balaji hears that and gets angry. He says the family is on one page. Radha takes him from there. Balaji shouts at her but then stops himself. Balaji tells Radha that I don’t mind Kashi questioning my decision but I can’t see her sad all day, she is like my daughter so I can’t see her face like that. Radha says don’t worry, I will send her to her parent’s house for some days.
Baji shouts at Kashi that even baba is hurt because of you. You just want to be stubborn. Kashi says I have to fight even if my people are against me because I know I am on the right path. Baji shouts that you are trying to increase the intensity of this matter. Kashi says I am just trying what I can. Kashi hugs him. Baji hugs her sadly and says just listen to me and go back to your parents’ house.
Scene 2
Kashi is leaving for her parents’ house. Baji says I am sorry, I can’t stay away from you but I am asking you to leave. Balaji tells his soldiers to prepare to hang the attacker. Kashi sadly hears that and sits in the palanquin. She starts leaving. The wife stops her and says how can you run away? I will become a widow but you don’t care about my pain? I trusted you but you didn’t do anything for me. I am getting punished for saving his life? I can’t live if they are killing my husband. She pours patrol on herself and is about to burn herself but Kashi stops her. Kashi says you can’t lose hope like this. I was leaving but I won’t, you trusted me so I won’t lose hope. We should live and die with respect. Come with me, I don’t know if your husband will be spared or not but you should be honored for your deed.
Balaji starts preparing for hanging the betrayer. He tells everyone that we will set an example that no one can betray the government. We will hang this betrayer today. The betrayer is put on the noose. They are about to hang him but Kashi comes there and stop it. All look on. Baji asks what are you doing here? Kashi says I was leaving but the betrayer’s wife stopped me, she complained that she was not given the prize. The woman says I want a prize for my honesty and loyalty. Balaji says what do you want? The woman says I want your promise that you will give it to me if I don’t ask to spare my husband’s life. Balaji says I promise you that I will give you anything as a prize if you don’t ask me to spare your husband. The woman says thank you, I want death before my husband. I want to die before my husband as I can’t be a widow. Balaji says we can’t kill anyone like this. The woman says I want to die if my husband can’t live. Radha says don’t be emotional about this. The woman says you are a woman so you should understand my pain like Kashi did. Radha asks Kashi if she taught her all this? Kashi looks on.
