Actor Sanjay Gagnani who recently tied the knot with Poonam Preet is super excited for this Lohri as it is their first Lohri after marriage. The actor has decided to keep it a low-key affair because of the rising COVID cases in the country. The newlyweds will be celebrating the festival with Sanjay’s family in Surat.
In an interview with BT, Sanjay talked about it and shared, “This is my wife Poonam Preet and my first Lohri after marriage and we are celebrating with our family in Surat. Since one should ideally not be stepping out in current circumstances, we will be celebrating at home. We want to take all the precautions and we don’t want to put our families and ourselves at risk. My wife – whom I dated for 10 years before tying the knot – is Punjabi and I am Sindhi, and Lohri has always been very special for us.”
Sending also urged his fans to follow COVID protocols and said, ”My message to my fans who are celebrating the festival is that they should stay safe. Take all the necessary precautions with regard to your family’s and your own safety. I also wish that things get better soon for all of us and hope that we can say goodbye to COVID at the earliest.”
For the unversed, the couple got married in Gurgaon in November after being together for almost 10 years. The wedding ceremonies were attended by their industry friends like Anjum Fakih, Nupur Sanon, Abhishek Kapoor, Zaan Khan, and Aditi Sharma.
