Star Plus’ popular show Imlie has managed to strike a chord with the audience. The show is a loose adaptation of a Bengali series ‘Ishti Kutum’. The show features a stunning star cast including actors like Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer, and Mayuri Deshmukh in lead roles.
Apart from the storyline, the show is also in the news for the reports of lead actor Gashmeer Mahajani exiting from the show very soon. According to the latest reports the actor has already put down his paper but Gashmeer has always denied it whenever asked in an interview.
According to our source, Gashmeer Mahajani has already put down his papers and has made up his mind to quit the show. The source adds that Gashmeer will wrap up his shoot by the end of this month.
A popular name in both Marathi and OTT industries Gashneer is loved by the audience for his stint in Shrikant Basheer. Gashmeer’s character in the show, Aditya has garnered a lot of appreciation.

Frankly speaking… he is a very selfish person to quit in the middle of a first class serial 😒 …maybe he has forgotten his manners due to a big fat ego perhaps idk… or maybe it’s the money?? 🙄
Anyway… what he has now done is to put the whole cast and crew in a very tight spot because his character is that of the main lead…smh

I agree with you @Yolande, I also always find it irresponsible when a leading actor simply leaves his show in the middle of it …
Unless it is for important health or family reasons. But from what we hear, he did this because of his ambitions and career reasons …
Now, somehow, I can understand the scriptwriters’ confusion. You can’t build a good story around an actor who wants to quit every other month…
Gashmeer is very good actor. The creative team and who ever changed the story line are to be blamed for changing his character into useless and mindless journalist. I support his decision and All the Best for his future.
Don’t say bad about the actor . He has played an awesome role in deoolband (Marathi film ) .there might be reasons for it , which hew won’t reveal .

Actually it I say, Gashmeer Janajani is a skillful actor. Imlie serial may not let him explore the various shades of characters the way it is in OTT web series, movies, etc. Imlie serial is no doubt, too low for him to enact in. If he wishes to chalk out, I guess he will be doing many good projects. For example, his iconic acting in Shrikant Bashir was amazing. And many of his movies depict him in a unique manner. But this show has made his character worse. In Shrikant Bashir too, he was shown having negative approach and habits but still the acting felt original and not nonsence. He lived upto even the nastiest character well. But it is not the case in Imlie. In Imlie, his character is hard to describe. Perhaps anyone in the shoes of that character would do worse. But still, his character didn’t feel real though he is an amazing actor with good dialogue speaking skills.
It’s good too. I would like watching his different projects, rather than watching his single serial which will stretch for decades.

I haven’t seen any of Gashmeer’s work…so I can’t say anything about his acting, except what I now see from this Imlie serial…please don’t take this personally✌
However… and from ‘my’ perspective 👀 ma’am… I see one of the main team members leaving in the middle of a very important project… and for whatever reason(s) 😐😒
Still… it’s an insult to the other members on board who worked tirelessly throughout the whole series… including risking their lives thru covid times, etc.
Granted that Gashmeer may have his ‘personal reasons’ for leaving… but still it does not belie the ‘fact’ that the serial would not be able to push forward to the original content intended… which sucks!!!

And frankly speaking… this sort of stops the actual concept now 🙄… so all we have left to see (or what the production team now has to scramble to do 🙄) is to try to work beyond this hurdle… to give the audience a fairly decent concept as it’s ending 🙄 ….thereforeeee… we get to see a patched up ending (yippee to Gashu 🙄) ……….which again… sucks big time !!! 😒 that’s all…

…but Fahmaan is a very dedicated actor (from what I have actually seen with his past projects ✌💖) …so I know he can pull this serial through to the end… with his experience… Charisma… and commitment 👐💗

First class show? Imlie was a teenager when they made her consummate her marriage with Aditya. How is this a first class show? It promotes bad values. Not to mention everything else.

Honestly, he’s too good for this role and no one wants to see Aditya, the Tripathi’s or Dev anymore. He can get better roles than a pedo journo who ruined a young girls life and a long time friend as well
Now we know why his character was severely butchered but why make way for ASR or to make him the most hated…..oh well I hope they at least expose all Kalini deeds now and give Gash a decent enough ending
