Starts- Glimpses of the past

In VR Mansion, Siya held Vansh’s hand tightly and murmured “Riddhima”. The name had magic, she felt movement on her hand and she started her story. She needed to tell him no matter what, nothing could stop her today.

Siya: Vansh Bhai, please wake up (crying) Bhabhi needs you. We all need you. Riddhima Bhabhi had done nothing Bhai, she was innocent and she was used and manipulated. You do know how naïve she was, she would come in to anyone’s talk. She hadn’t injected me, it was Anupriya mom who had injected me, in fact Bhabhi is the reason I’m awake now. She helped and motivated me a lot by talking to me and sharing her feelings with me.

She in fact saved our family, all the time when you weren’t there and the rest were hell bent on blaming her for your death and for agreeing to marry Kabir. Yes she was a spy but then she became Mrs Vansh Rai Singhania, she accepted you and loved you immensely. Bhai she never betrayed you…..please wake up. She needs you right now, you need to find her. Bhai please (sobbing)

She sobbed heavily after she finished her words, blaming herself for all that took place. But who could tell her and explain to her that it wasn’t in her hands but it was all in God’s. These words had a huge impact on the family when Siya had narrated everything, they were in guilt especially Ishani for wronging Riddhima all the time, for insulting her all the time, for trying to hurt her all the time.

But it seemed like these words had no impact on Vansh, he showed no response or was it that he didn’t have the strength to show any movement, punishing himself for hurting his sweetheart? Whatever it was, it stayed between himself.

Siya consulted and called the doctor for another thorough check up of his after he showed some movement. Siya told everyone and them all prayed while he was getting checked up. They had seen Vansh as a strong man, always standing before them as a pillar, as a shield blocking away all the sorrow and troubles that were meant for them but this sight of theirs was unbearable, to see that same man lying on the bed helpless.

Doctor: There’s improvement, he’ll soon wake up from coma also his cut is healing.

Angre: Thank you doctor.

These words were like a blessing to the family, all they wanted now was Vansh to wake up. Time is the greatest healer, maybe more time needed but he would be on his feet soon. On the other hand Kritika, Saurabh and Drishti celebrated their small victory of a bonus of 10,000 Rupees. An extremely small victory but for them it meant a lot.

Saurabh had planned a small surprise in their back garden for both, Kritika and Drishti. Giving them both their dresses for the evening he got ready in a white suit and black shirt. He reached the back garden earlier than the two ladies and prepared for the surprise; it was more of a night to spend together and have dinner under the starts….something he knew Drishti always liked doing.

Drishti wore a white crop top with a white shimmer skirt and a long coat on top, adorning herself with silver jewelry and letting her hair open. She took a glance of her reflection in mirror where she got some flashes. She closed her eyes as it pained when she saw them and brushed off the thoughts. Joining Kritika on the staircase, who wore a white off shoulder gown with her hair tied in a low bun and minimal make up. They both went to the back garden and were mesmerized seeing the arrangements Saurabh had done.

There was a white tent in which there was a mattress. Surrounding it had rose petals and fairy lights, brightening the dark night. It was out in the open so that they could view the stars that shimmered in the night sky. Saurabh played the music and pulled Drishti and Kritika in for a dance.

Tere mere darmiyaan hain, baatein ankahi
Tu wahaan hai main yahaan kyun
Saath hum nahin

He swirled both the ladies around in circles while in VR mansion Vansh slightly moved his fingers. Saurabh let go of Drishti and took Kritika with him in a slow dance while Drishti swayed slightly.

Tere mere darmiyaan hain, baatein ankahi
Tu wahaan hai main yahaan kyun
Saath hum nahin
Faisley jo kiye,
Faasley hi mile
Raahein judaa kyun ho gayi
Na tu galat, na main sahi

Drishti got flashes again and soon stopped swaying. She closed her eyes to get a better view of them where she saw two bodies moving together in a similar set up. There was a man without a beard and was dressed in a white shirt and she saw herself in a similar dress that she wore. She saw the man back hugging her and nuzzling his nose in her neck while she moved away and ran towards the tent. The man followed her and they both fell on the mattress.

She opened her eyes with a jolt as she felt pain. She was confused with what happened and just muttered “Vansh” that came on her tongue unknowingly or rather knowingly. She had to remember him, she couldn’t have forgotten him so easily. “No matter what, it is never easy to forget someone you love if you keep remembering the happy moments you spent together.” The name she muttered brought some life into the same man to whom the name belonged, Vansh. His breathed heavily making the machines to beep loudly, sending a call for everyone.

Drishti stood there, holding her head as it gave her immense pain after she got the flashes again. Kritika and Saurabh noticing it ran to her and carefully settled her down on the mattress. She looked at them and again muttered “Vansh” and they stood there, looking at each other. Was she getting her memory back?
